Re: Better Music for GM ScummVM (and DOSBox) games
Just a heads up that there's a project to emulate the Roland SC-55 called EmuSC here . This is a full emulation in the style of Munt for the MT-32. It's not ready for prime time yet but looks extremely promising and should give the right sounds for classic General Midi games. It does need roms dumpe...

Re: OpenGL Pixel perfect scaling... isn't?
DOSBox Staging has pixel perfect scaling so it may be a better thing to look at for inspiration.

Re: Better Music for GM ScummVM (and DOSBox) games
Yes, I know about the manual switch, but is there any way to tell the pi hardware to use mt-32 emu on mt-32 games and fluidsynth/fatboy on GM/GS games on the fly? Because I won't know which game uses which when I start it (launcher) I dont think scummvm could do it since it simply sends the stuff t...

Re: Better Music for GM ScummVM (and DOSBox) games
Also, what i don't really understand right now, can that Pi distinguish between MT-32 and GM/GS or will everything be fed into either one or the other? Playing MT-32 games with MT-32 emu and GM/GS with fatboy on the same hardware would be heaven... You can switch it between MT-32 & GM mode and ...

Re: Better Music for GM ScummVM (and DOSBox) games
A friend and I had kicked around the idea of building a Raspberry Pi based solution that runs both the latest FluidSynth + FatBoy and MUNT as daemons. Setup a button/switch to the GPIO to toggle which receives the MIDI input, maybe even an MT-32 style LCD and a 3D printed case to look like an old-s...

Re: Thousands of games needing testing
So it may be that this game needs some further testing to say for sure whether it works in ScummVM? Oh yes indeed, a lot more testing is needed for all of them. I was just running a check for any immediate problems on games that the devs are less likely to have, i.e. commercial ones, including one ...

Re: Thousands of games needing testing
Shivah from GOG also starts and the beginning seems to work.
That's all of the recognised commercial AGS games I have that I know of. One unknown one was submitted to the bug tracker.

Re: How to play Nippon Safes (Amiga)?
No need, I can build my own to test.Raziel wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 3:40 pm Do you have access to a buildbot build?

And yes, it works fine with the latest git version. Seems it is a 2.2.0 bug so I guess the OP will either need to use a nightly or wait for the next release.

Re: How to play Nippon Safes (Amiga)?
I get the exact same error with the exact same file checksums you listed.
This is with the 2.2.0 flatpak version on Kubuntu 20.10.

Re: Thousands of games needing testing
On further testing, I've found that all of the following crash with this error when I press F12 whenever they are not playing a video. It works at the menu screen and during gameplay. Thank you! Knowing that, this was easy to reproduce, and that will help a lot to fix it. Edit: And this is now fixe...

Re: Thousands of games needing testing
POSIXFilesystemNode::getChild assert I played a good chunk of Blackwell 4, and I have not encountered the issue yet. I created https://bugs.scummvm.org/ticket/12416 to track the issue so that we do not forget about this and can continue investigating. If you have more information about the issue, s...

Re: Thousands of games needing testing
Hey, thanks for adding this engine. I spent some time a while ago trying to get some commercial AGS games to work on self compiled engines. Glad to see I don't need to fight with that any more :) I did a quick test with some commercial games I have and got the following results. All of them produced...
