Re: Android 2.7.0 Beta
You can also skip cut scenes with the device's "back" gesture/key. This is how I have been skipping cut scenes at least for the Scumm games.

Re: Android version 2.2.1d crashes upon start
OK, I always have to search for the "F5" key in the on-screen keyboard to make the menu appear (as there is no long-press on the back gesture available), but that is a minor inconvenience only. ;) Looking at ScummVM again, I tried the key mapping feature and now the menu also appears with...

Re: Android version 2.2.1d crashes upon start
I was referring to the same build you have been trying to install (see your screen shots in the posts above). The link to that build is in one of the posts up there, but you already have that build as it seems. Key thing is: Don't try to install this over an exsisting installation, but: uninstall Sc...

Re: Android version 2.2.1d crashes upon start
Have you tried uninstalling the Play Store version and then the daily build? If I remember right, installing a non-store version over a store version (or the other way round) never worked for me. As a side note, on my Pixel 5 with Android 11 and latest patches, latest ScummVM (non-beta, like shown i...

Re: Skipping Dialogue (.)
In the play store version (still the SDL version) you can create yourself some on-screen buttons, and one of them the "." key for skipping dialog lines. To do so: start this extra configuration menu with the "Change Device Configuration" button at ScummVM start up just before the...

Re: F5 menu not appearing on Galaxy S10+
I don't own a Pixel device to test on, but isn't this true? If you want 3 button navigation back, you can go to Settings->System->Gestures->System navigation, and choose whichever option suits you. Yes, you are right, thanks for the reminder. This option exists and could be used as a temporary work...

Re: F5 menu not appearing on Galaxy S10+
This issue of having no escape key (or no way of launching the menu for saving/loading) is not only restricted to the S10+, but also happens on other recent devices, like the Google Pixel devices, which have a swipe from left/right screen border instead of a back key. Here, no long press of back key...

Re: DOTT in 2.1.0 SDL Disabled system call error
I am using the standard settings for audio, all defaults, and no midi. For the text/speech options, subtitles is enabled, but speech disabled. I believe I also removed the speech files some time ago to save memory. However, music and sound are working fine.
Hope that helps

Re: DOTT in 2.1.0 SDL Disabled system call error
You were asking the general question whether someone can run DOTT on Android Pie. Here is my answer, even though it is a slightly different version of ScummVM than the one you are using. :) Yes, DOTT runs fine for me on Android Pie (Device: Google Pixel 2, Android 9 with 2019-04-15 patch level). Ver...

Bonjour Stephan, That is interesting! Just did a little check with the German version of Monkey Island 2 I have. With default GUI language (English) it starts fine. With GUI language switched to German, it starts fine, too. With GUI language switched to French, ScummVM crashes immediately after doub...

Hi Stephan, thanks for checking. It seems that with the 2.0.0 version the versions in the beta tester and regular mode are the same. Sorry for the trouble! :( But at least in the future you will get newer versions quicker this way, and one may work with the Lucasarts games on your device. :) Maybe y...

There is also a beta version on the Play Store. If you scroll down on the app page, you can click to join the beta program (if I remember right). Could you try that one please? I am running the latest beta from the Play Store on stock Android 8.1 and all Lucasarts games are running fine. I have the ...

Thanks for releasing this new beta. I have downloaded it via the Play Store beta program and was able to complete a game with it: Full Throttle, Version B/English. That game crashed on the recent SDL builds, while it ran fine on much older builds. But probably that is not the feedback you were expec...
