...(the engines have full access to OpenGL/TinyGL, no wrapper is used to hide any functionality). I used to think residualvm was some kind of a layer between the OS and the game engine, which provides services in a portable way (you know, you write an engine, you call residualvm methods when you wa...

I'm glad the source code didn't go lost.somaen wrote:https://github.com/somaen/fitd-residualvm
I see your code is now in C++, while fitd was written in C, so is yours a code adaptation from yazoo source? Or is it a complete rewrite?

* Alone in the Dark is supposedly completable in Free in the Dark, which is itself quite dead as a project, but the source code exists, sadly I only own the gog-version, which is the CD-version, and FITD only supports the floppy-version through to completion. (And, given that I can get hold of flop...

Prince Of Persia source code available!
The original author Jordan Mechner published the Apple II source code of PoP just some hours ago.
Although it is unclear the applied license, this is a great surprise: he thought that source code went lost years ago, this really is archeology in IT.

Maybe this appears a bit off-topic, but what has a user to do in order to fix the missing dialogue bug?
As of today, is residualvm able to fix this on-the-fly?

A shiny new project from Tim!
Tim Schafer is going to create a classic point-and-click adventure game together with Ron Gilbert, and they launched a fund raising some day ago on kickstarter . The goal was 400k $ and as of today, they almost reached 1000000 $ !!! Adventure games are not dead! :-) (and adventure gamers really are ...

It was 2002 when I stumbled into scummvm and with my SuSE I launched (for the first time on a non-win32 pc) monkey2 from a command line... I thought I was dreaming. [Incidentally scummvm helped me learn how to build a program by myself in linux world also.] Since then I was able to re-play monkey 2,...

It's Xmas time at GOG!
Hey guys, have a look at their catalogue, they're offering many titles for 50% off.
It is time for purchasing broken sword, sanitarium (which will hopefully soon be playable into scummvm) and GK1 (almost playable) and many, many more titles!
