I think residual should use them only if it finds them together. And, if it doesn't, i should suggest the upgrade to the user, also.

hence the tool to extract it yourself.
Maybe the download page can have links to the patches (for the different languages) and one for the tool to extract them.
This is a safer way.

Some time ago I was wondering which files were modified during this update, so I applied the patch on a previous GF install and did a `diff' with a fresh new installation (this was done on a win32 box). Well, here you have the list of modified files: -rw------- 1 topolinik topolinik 12K 2008-09-13 2...

Is updating needed?

Lucasarts released an update for GF, called 1.01, and this update is available for english and italian versions (at least).
About the italian version it contains, among other things, a different GRIM.TAB and a previously unreleased DATA005.LAB
Does residual need them?

Also we have a great port of it with Yaz0rs FITD engine which is a lot of help. I know that project, it's a good piece of software but it seems it lies abandoned since 2004. Of course, it's far from perfection but still a reasonable starting point; maybe the author has also some docs about the game...

Will there be development for fitd?

Hi, i see user yazoo is involved into scummvm development also. He is project leader for fitd (free in the dark, a free engine for alone in the dark games) another sourceforge project which was not very active in the past years. So maybe yazoo wants to create a scummvm plugin which can play those ga...

Sorry, i know the actual stage of the engine, my request was not about fixing the crash. The post had two reasons: 1) i just wanted you to know there is an italian version also (for the wiki page ) 2) scummvm told me to "report the details of this game..." so i thougth the log may be usefu...

Lure of the Temptress, italian version

I was about to play lure in italian (it's now free to download here ) with svn version 20070613 (today) but during the intro scummvm crashed. Here's the log: Using configuration file: /home/topolinik/.scummvmrc Debuglevel (from command line): 3 Output sample rate: 22050 Hz File modern.ini not found ...

To the ScummVM team

Hi, i'm a huge scummvm fan, i play with it since version 0.2.0! To let people better know your project i'm going to enlarge the wikipedia-italy page about scummvm (i write from Italy). Aside description, i know a picture talks more than words, so i wish to add an internal scheme of the software: you...
