My kids can play all their other games it would have been nice to play Blues or Pajama Sam again but who really cares. I certainly don't. You are a multipurpose emulator just like MESS and just like MESS, other than a few games, Except that unlike MESS, ScummVM is no emulator. The games ScummVm sup...

It was a simple request that was attacked. A simple request that was full with pampered, privileged "OMFG do that!!!111" whining. Seriously, you act like it's something you've earned, and we're maliciously withholding from you. Newsflash: We don't owe you anything. And definitely not coll...

Re: ClrMame .Dat is necessary

OK, what if I accidently deleted any of those files? Then you are an idiot and should rightfully be made fun of. Seriously, if you're prone to delete random files from your HD, you have a problem regardless whether one lonely program such as ScummVM allows you to package all files needed for a game...

As a ScummVM developer, I do have moderational powers here. And I agree, you should get a blog. A single forum thread is completely ill-fit for your RE progress descriptions, as interesting they may be. And no, that does not mean you're getting a whole subforum here ;). Of course, you may announce y...

Dunno about that particular game, but back in the days I used a neat little tool named mripper (multi ripper) to extract music and stuff from games and demos. No idea if you can still find it on the net. If not, I might still have it one of my HDs somewhere... EDIT: You can actually still find it, a...

I was wondering what the reasoning behind why ScummVM only supports adventure games... Because the people who started the project, and the people who continue to work on it care mostly about adventure games. Also, this helps keeping the whole shebang somewhat focused. As ScummVM's approach requires...

you'd just be able to play the (best) version which is arguably always going to be the PC version.

What's next Doctor? The Last Dynasty? Eh, I don't know. That one has a mean hard-coded space shooter. Same with Inca 2 (completely different hard-coded space shooter, too). I started some mucking about with the Addy / Addy Junior (Adi / Adibou) series. We'll see. They do need dBase 3 support...

Quite the opposite for me. I'd rather keep my hands on the keyboard than having one move to the mouse.

I'd like to request keyboard shortcuts for everything, please.

Which would mean that AGS would have to go Open Source. Which the AGS guy doesn't want.
