Re: Gobliins win edition

I've seen in datafiles there is some "Win" versions for Gobliins 1,2,3. Never got accross with them. As far as I know, you can only find them on the CDs of Addy educational games. They are normally accessible in-game as a reward for learning well. Their EXE are modified to only run when s...

Re: Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes - why not for this long ti

I just want to understand why Holmes is still not supported Lack of someone who has the necessary knowledge, time and interest. Easy as that. Oftentimes, people start a project like taking apart a game, then get another great project idea (maybe even taking apart another game) after a short while, ...

Granted, it's not quite as brain-dead as Computer Bild, but that's about it.

Thank you for your self-important, condescending and insulting ten-point bulleted response to my offer of sharing some code. You're welcome. The nobility of your grand offering nonewithstanding, my points are still valid: A CC license is the wrong choice for your code and your promises of clean-roo...

Or you could, you know, not do anything at all. Because you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

Do you mean how to add games ScummVM already supports to the ScummVM GUI? That would be the "Add Game" button. Or do you mean you want to extend ScummVM so that it supports games it doesn't already? Since it seems you already used ScummVM, I assume you mean the latter (if you don't, you ca...

TL;DR: The project is superfluous, your choice of license is stupid and it's not the clean reimplementation you claim it is. 1) Creative Commons (other than CC0) is really an awful and totally inappropriate choice for code, and especially libraries. Both the Creative Commons people , as well as the ...

What about the sound settings in ScummVM? I.e. press Ctrl+F5, click "Options", and check the "Speech volume" setting, and the "Text and Speech" setting for the games that have it.

The actual file is in an archive (which one depends on the language your version supports (usgob3.itk, degob3.itk, frgob3.itk, ...)). The video in question is the "It's a hook" line that gets played when you click on the hook/screw in the first screen. When exactly is the error message dis...

Yes, that list above also contains games that are not yet supported, but are valid targets for future work on ScummVM. The reasoning is that since we know those games are likely to be supported in the future (and maybe already partially work), people might be interested in purchasing them already. E...
