Re: Please Tell Me How to Disable the Ctrl-Z Option to Quit
It looks like that the Ctrl+Z shortcut is mapped to the Quit action under "Global Options" for ScummVM Keymaps. I am not sure if the game itself also has a Ctrl+Z "quit" shortcut (hardcoded), but my current guess is that it has not. So, as criezy wrote, you can change the shortcu...

Re: Couple notes / questions about experience with ScummVM Android
I had checked-out the Ultimate Talkie edition of SoMI, but didn't like having the voices play. But maybe I can get rid of them by simply deleting the voice audio files. I'll look into that. Thanks! You could set the "Speech Volume" to 0 from the ScummVM "Volume" options for the ...

Re: Why was BUN / SOU compression removed?
The new and more accurate implementation of the digital iMuse sound engine in ScummVM requires the uncompressed original form of the games' files for sound. Here's a thread where this was discussed in a bit more detail: https://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?t=16487 I am unsure of a way to get a w...

Re: Couple notes / questions about experience with ScummVM Android
Normally, in a touch interface, you should be able to bring up the virtual keyboard on demand, by long touch on the "controller mode" icon (the one that is overlayed on the top right of the screen, next to the "hamburger" icon for the ScummVM menu). I don't have a stylus, but usi...

Re: 2.9.0 Android - Beneath a steel sky problems
This issue has been fixed in developer builds for a while now.
The fix is not part of a stable release as of yet, but if there is a bug fix 2.9.1 release, it will be included in that.
Otherwise, you can install one of our daily builds 2.10.0git to test with.

Re: Lands of Lore: stuck in Draracle's cave due to bug - can someone edit my save/help?
I blocked myself from coming back to Level 2 of Draracle's Caves. Screenshot 2025-03-16 at 1.21.45 PM.jpg Upon coming back from Level 3 through the only possible entrance, I face a pit that cannot be avoided. I need the Jewelled Dagger (which is on that level) to offer Draracle, plus I need to (pro...

Hello, The last time a similar topic was brought up (https://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?t=16889) it would appear that a workaround to get out of the "dead end" state could be achieved by using the integrated ScummVM debugger console. The relevant debug console commands I had tested b...

Read through this topic; the linked post specifically has instructions on how to do this in a shortcut for ScummVM (adjust any paths according to your own of course):

Oh, sorry, I was not aware that this is a specific post in the Android-branch of the forum. Thanks for the explanation. I will do some testing and report back. Should I better create a specific thread in the pc-branch? Yes, please use the general tech and support forum https://forums.scummvm.org/vi...

- Is this on Windows 7? - What is your GPU? Are you using the latest drivers for it? - Have you tried switching between "opengl" graphics mode and "surfacesdl" ? It seems that the last time this was reported to us, it might have been a bad/old GPU drivers issue, and switching the...

Re: "Could not find any engine capable of running the selected game"
I am curious about this too. I am running Windows 11. I updated from ScummVM 2.8.0 to 2.9.0 using the Windows installer (https://downloads.scummvm.org/frs/scummvm/2.9.0/scummvm-2.9.0-win32.exe). On 2.8.0 all my games where playable. On 2.9.0 only my two Amiga-versions of 'Eye of the Beholder' where...

Re: List of fan made ScummVM compatible game enhancements (mods/talkies/soundtracks/subtitles etc)
I should clarify that the Restored Content for Blade Runner is still WIP. I have very little time these days to work on it, but I have planned almost entirely what remains to be done, and I am currently testing a few stuff locally for the next additions in a future version of ScummVM. I do hope I ge...

Re: How can I save? :-(
Nice to meet you, I am running a very old not so common game called Elroy Goes Bugzerk. It runs absolutely flawlessly even it's not officially listed as supported. The only problem is, you can guess: I cannot save. :( The ingame save doesn't work, and the menu save is not possible either. Has anyon...

Hi. Yes a new game was started in 2.9.0. (I'm pretty shure, i updated scummVM bevore starting a new game. I try it again the next days, to make shure i dont tell nonsense). Could you please attach this new saved game on the pertinent ticket on the bug tracker here: https://bugs.scummvm.org/ticket/1...
