Re: Personal Nightmare AGOS code

Very interesting, thanks for your response! Do you have plans to archive the AGOS code anywhere?

Re: Personal Nightmare AGOS code

Hi Alan, Thanks for sharing this! It's fascinating. I've come across mentions on different websites about a supposed God/Wizard mode for this game, granting players invincibility and the ability to pass through closed doors. Do you recall anything about that, or could this code perhaps shed some lig...

Re: LucasArts Posters - The better thread

Please, could someone fix the links/upload (best) or alternatively send them to me (wetransfer etc)? I printed two posters years ago with the two MI games, I have them hanged in my room. They are gorgeous. Thanks! Here's a link to a folder I'm sharing on Google Drive. Have at them! https://drive.go...

The Journey Down Kickstarter

The guys behind The Journey Down have started a Kickstarter campaign for the third(and final) chapter.

It's a really cool adventure that needs to be completed!

I couldn't agree more, I'm really impressed with the visual style of this game. I'd love to see it funded!

Still, I think this is noteworthy. John is trying to do something new here. I'd be surprised if there wasn't a plan to port it!

Flight of the Amazon Queen Sequel

Looks like John Passfield is working on a sequel to Flight of the Amazon Queen. He's written a pretty decent retrospective of the original game up here. http://passfieldgames.blogspot.co.uk/2015/05/making-of-flight-of-amazon-queen-20th.html The last paragraph mentions the sequel. It's great news!

Turns out it's also in the Atari ST versions of MM and Zak, it's a slightly different variation again.

Scumm Snail cursor

I'm conducting an investigation in to the pause/wait cursor graphics used in the early Scumm games. For no other reason other than my odd interest in the Scumm engine, I've recently been feeling nostalgic for the old Snail cursor. David Fox referred to him as 'Slimey' https://twitter.com/DavidBFox/s...

Looks like it's a demo that came on a magazine called CD-Action. Here's an alternative hosting location which seems to come with a little more provenance.

Habitat

Perhaps of interest to some of you here. There is currently a large push to get Lucasfilms Habitat up and running again, it's been in progress for a little while but now they have Chip Morningstar and Randy Farmer of Lucasfilm involved. They've been making some nice progress in the last few weeks. P...

The Big Big Castle! - Ron Gilbert's new game.

Ron released a new game for the iPad a couple of weeks back called The Big Big Castle! Clayton K did the art for it too. It was released through Beep Games, Inc. It's a fun castle building/destroying game and it's also free! Currently only available in the UK and Canada, though I am assured that thi...

There is actually another English Toonstruck demo, although it is broken(the demo won't run using the original exe). SylvainTV was looking at it a while ago. It's supposed to be a very early version. It's available on Textfiles: http://cd.textfiles.com/cdaction/cdaction07a/TOONST/ I never added it t...
