Re: It’s a Bar... In Space!

Thanks, I'm so happy, i've always dreamed that this particular game would be supported at some point. :D I wonder if Steve Meretzky himself had something to do with the new release, if he kept and eventually provided the source code after all these years. Maybe he has the source code for his Legend ...

Wrath of the Gods: curiosities and oddities

Back in the 90s, one of the first CD games I played was Wrath of the Gods, the original release with voices missing for some of the videos. Now that it is officially supported by ScummVM, I was playing my original ( that I kept archived all these years ), and started to look for information online a...

Nightdive Studios - Blade Runner Enhanced Edition

My guess is that it uses ScummVM, but there's no mention of it. The logo of their KEX Engine appears at the beggining of this preview of the A.I. enhanced cutscenes:

Re: Standards for replacing old screenshots

The 320x240 image taken with Alt+S, the screenshot itself without scalers and with aspect correction (as requested in the wiki) always comes out distorted to me. Maybe it is a bug or something like that.

Standards for replacing old screenshots

There is now a request at the wiki for replacement screenshots, mainly for new shots at the native 320x200 resolution with aspect correction - making them 320x240. I tried to take a few with the latest Windows build, and the resulting image was quite ugly: when aspect correction is used, therefore h...

They show several minutes of gameplay, and therefore are filled with spoilers. Don't watch them if you never played the games. The unrelated 7th Guest port to the iPad

Thankfully they sped up the game quite a bit, making the transition cutscenes much more bearable now. I wonder if they're using new renders, or recycling something they had archived for later use. The movement seems much smoother now, unlike the original transitions (I think they were rendered with ...
