Any chance we'll see GOB engine fixes soon? Pretty much all of them are broken ATM on IOS and I'd love to replay them! I've been waiting years to replay Lost In Time, as it never worked right even on my old DOS PC when it was a *new* game.

I've been rocking 1.2.1 on my iPad for a few days, and it's been pretty good so far. My biggest complaint is inconsistent behavior of the interface. The "menu" command (one finger plus second finger swipe down) doesn't always bring up a menu, sometimes just bringing up the save interface -...

Illuminerdi, Just bumping this old thread as I have revisited the Wiz (and Caanoo, and GP2X) control layouts recently. The latest builds on my site (http://blogs.distant-earth.com/wp/?p=125) have a simple to use 'Tap Mode' that can be switched to Left/Right or Hover. It's not quite configurable fro...

Sorry, I have not checked the forum in some time and missed these posts. Requests noted, I'll see what I can sort out. The whole control system for the Wiz could use some overhaul, I took the code over from the GP2X port and that started life for a device that had no touchscreen ;). No worries on t...

Wiz Port Control Scheme Makes Me Sad

I was wondering if it would be easy/possible to rework some of the controls for the Wiz port of ScummVM? I really really dislike the "tap to left click" method, especially in games that rely on "hovering" to locate interactive elements (LIT and Gobliins 2 were both too frustratin...

Hi Illuminerdi, GPH (who make the GP2X) changed the hardware in newer versions of the F200 GP2X so that a different LCD and touchscreen is used. As you can imagine they updated there own software to support the new touchscreen. Currently ScummVM only supports the touchscreen found in original F200 ...

So I spoke too soon, looks like this problem isn't specific to ScummVM: http://www.gp32x.com/board/index.php?showtopic=42180 In short, newer iterations of the F200 hardware (I think it's all the "Rev B" iterations - which is what I have, purchased this about a month ago) have a new LCD scr...

Bug: Touchscreen Mouse Rotated?

So I've tried several version of ScummVM on my F200, and in them, the mouse appears to be...rotated on a per-axis basis. 90 degrees counterclockwise for the horizontal(tapping left of center moves the mouse up, tapping right of center moves the mouse down), and 90 degrees clockwise for vertical (tap...

Quick suggestion regarding the mouse discussion earlier: ScummVM DS takes an interesting approach to this problem by allowing the user to select the mouse mode they want to be in: Left click, Right click, and "Hover". When in L or R click, tapping once with the stylus is like instantly cli...

I might just do that if it doesn't happen eventually, alas my coding skills right now are...limited at best. I can write you some wicked bucket sort algorithms! ;) If ScummVM doesn't have SCI support in 3-ish years when I finish my degree (and hopefully have better coding skills since...well...that'...

Perhaps just a checkbox to turn it on/off, if there's no way to autodetect between the F100 and F200? Autodetection would obviously be the better choice for dummy proofing, but ultimately I think that having the feature would be a huge boon vs worrying about the ability of people to recognize whethe...

Every thread I found on the subject seemed to end rather abruptly, and consisted primarily of someone saying "hey when is ScummVM going to support SCI" and the responses were always "Go to FreeSCI, and go away". I found little actual discussion on the topic of how slow FreeSCI's ...

I have read the FAQ - etc etc support for game/engine X will be added if a dev wants to tackle the project. Hence the reason I ask - any devs ever played this game? Anyone want to tackle this? It fits the criteria (point n click adventure game), and if there's enough community support then perhaps t...

Chrono Master

I know it wasn't the world's greatest game, but has anyone thought of adding support for Chronomaster to ScummVM?

SCI Games

FreeSCI is about as active as a comatose slug, it's taken them years just to get SCI0 games working, I doubt we'll see any of the SCI1 (VGA) games anytime before 2010 at this rate. I know it's not easy, and these people are donating time, but I've been watching FreeSCI for almost half a decade, and ...
