Re: A Very Interesting Discovery in Simon the Sorcerer 1
So sad that this feature was never integrated, as one of the things I hated in Simon1 was how many empty screens there were. Now I understand why. Clearly they were very limited tech-wise, including the inability to have Simon move anywhere outside of the single path they made for him.

Re: ESRGAN: AI Neural Net Upscaling (For HiRes Packs?)
Beautiful job! I'd love to have this instead of the intro we have. Is there any way to integrate it?
It's funny how picky one can get. Like, it's a shame the ESRGAN can't get rid of all of the compression artifacts.

Re: ESRGAN: AI Neural Net Upscaling (For HiRes Packs?)
So, now that AI upscaling has come to the mainstream with NVIDIA DLSS 2.0, and can run in real-time and enable incredible rendering... I think even if ScummVM doesn't do it, some open source project needs to figure it out.

> Being audio instead of MIDI notes, how did they manage to make the transitions?
I'm guessing they recorded every possible transition (e.g. when you move to different places on the first island), and then faded from first area -> transition -> second area.

Re: ESRGAN: AI Neural Net Upscaling
Note that as lovely as you can make the backgrounds, ESRGAN doesn't work on the small, pixelated characters. This means the best you can do is to have some filtering on the main characters, and the results will look very jarring. The alternative is to redo all the character sprites by hand.

Re: F5 menu not appearing on Galaxy S10+
Starting with tomorrow's daily development build long press of the back button will result to in-game ScummVM menu being toggled. Short press will behave as "Escape". If you have switched Back and Menu buttons from the Options->Control tab, then long press and short press behavior are swi...

Re: Better Music for GM ScummVM (and DOSBox) games
This page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_MT-32-compatible_computer_games is a pretty good resource, both for ScummVM and Dosbox. If the game is in the table, it supports the mt-32. If the last column says something like 'General Midi' or 'Roland SC-55', the music was composed for general midi...

- Embedded Audio Synthesis crashes the app, as does Fluithsynth. This was unknown to me. Can you issue a ticket on the ScummVM bug tracker about it? Please provide a detailed explanation of the issue as possible (your device model, Android OS, etc). I thought this was a well known bug. I'm sure I s...

Re: ESRGAN: AI Neural Net Upscaling
This is a big development in the machine learning world and it's great that it can be used for such practical stuff. These results are truly phenomenal. Let's figure out a way to integrate pre-made images into ScummVM instead of the ones in the data files, rather than trying to do this on the fly, w...

I can confirm that embedded audio synthesis crashes on Oreo with ScummVM 2.0.

Running Scummvm
Please don't ask for instructions about how to run homebrew like ScummVM on your PSP -- it's against our forum rules. ScummVM supports Half Byte Loader.

I think there could be 2 problems here, G3RMaN. Monkey Island has an issue with MP3 files that's due to the way they're designed. You're better off using ogg files in the case of Monkey Island 1 and Loom. The second problem, with videos in Dig, seems to suggest that your memory stick read speed is s...
