Interesting idea
Interesting idea, maybe it can be like the loupe in apple aperture, which rotates around depending on which side of the screen you're trying to access (it's how apple got around that problem of the cursor/visible area problem)

I agree with your thoughts about pinching and zooming. As I feel that we need something full-time in games such as MI where dialogue and small details need regular clicking. One of the main issues is that the finger input obscures the portion of the screen we're trying to click on. It would be ideal...
