I've tried re-creating the directory structure described above, but it still works for me. You do have a lot of unnecessary files there, though, so to clean up/save disk space, you could: Remove the "Smacks" sub-folder. ScummVM doesn't play the original cutscenes. Remove the "Clusters...

The odd thing is that it appears to be trying to play the speech from speech1.clu, not speech2.clu. I wonder what could be causing that. Thinking aloud for a while... It determines which file to use by asking the resource manager which is the current CD. When the resource manager is first initialize...

The game runs all files from the one directory and scumm points to that one directory. As for permissions id be clueless as to why it would not have permission to read it. I'm running out of likely ideas. The only ones I have left are unlikely or downright insulting. You have double-checked, I trus...

I had a hell of alot of files in my folder than the ones listed due to copying over every file on both CD's into one folder :P. I have now deleted everything apart from what you have named and unfortunatly no difference. I am also running on Windows XP. And all files are where ScummVM can find them...

It should be looking for speech2 in the jungle, not speech1. And, judging from wha...

Re: Factory

Nice stuff mate! Although this is an entirely new composition based on the original melody rather than a remix. New composition? Sounds pretty close to the original pipe factory music to me. I like that the drums are not as over-bearing in this version as they are when I play the original on my sou...

I'm almost certain that CD 2 begins with the jungle, so if you had speech there it should have found the speech2.clu file correctly. I have no idea why the speech would stop working in the Caribbean, and the sound effects for an area are stored in the same file as the graphics etc. so they should al...

The only thing I can think of that would disable saving would be if something overwrites the VAR_MAINMENU_KEY variable which, in the case of The Dig, would be variable number 65, I believe. Bringing up the debug console (e.g. with Ctrl-D) and typing "scumm_vars[65]" ought to print "(i...

LogicDeLuxe wrote:Why is there a Soundfont button in the GUI in the MIDI tab?
It look pretty much like ScummVM could load a soundfont. Does this make any sense?
If it's disabled for some reason or its support is not compiled in, there should be no such button.
It's used by the FluidSynth and CoreAudio MIDI backends.

Re: Core Audio vs. MT32 Emu on a MAC

I've just tried to apply this patch to the latest daily snapshot and it seems to fail patching one hunk of data, this is the rejected section: - That part of the patch was just a cosmetic change: removing a space after "SoundFont:" to keep the text from being truncated in the small versio...

Re: Core Audio vs. MT32 Emu on a MAC

I can also tell you that the Fluidsynth driver (after I finally got Fluidsynth to compile correctly on OS X) also sounds pretty awful using freeware SoundFont collections that I've tried. In my case it's probably down to the speed of my machine, a wee 900MHz iBook G3 :D FluidSynth works much of the...
