Re: Simon the Sorcerer Help
Although this probably has been asked MANY times, I have trouble when I try to save in Simon the Sorcerer, the talking version. I go to the postcard, click save, enter name, but then I get an error. Please help, because it is sort of rough going through an adventure game without saving when you've ...

I've submitted an experimental patch for adding MikMod support to ScummVM. Perhaps this could be useful for some Amiga music? I haven't done much testing of it, though. I was stuck for much too long on a silly programming error. With that out of the way, I don't feel like looking any more at it righ...

Re: Problems with viewing cut-scenes in Broken Sword 1..
When I start Broken Sword 1 in ScummVM the console say “WARNING: Cutscene; Could not open intro.mp2.” As far as I can tell, this message means that ScummVM was compiled with libmpeg2, but that it can't find the cutscene file itself, in this case intro.mp2. ScummVM cannot play the original Smacker c...

Re: Problems with kyrandia spanish floppy version 1.8
Some data that was apparently included in the original executable, but which ScummVM reads from file instead. It's mentioned as "the data file needed" at http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Kyravinacha wrote:What is 'KYRA.DAT'??

Re: Compressing ITE
There's a tool that claims to do it, but even if it works (I don't know) it's currently useless since the SAGA engine does not play compressed sounds at this time.vinacha wrote:Is there any tool to compress ITE sounds and voices?
Maybe.vinacha wrote:If not, will be in the future?

Her theme is played if she appears in court, but I don't know which of the two is used then.lavosspawn wrote:I wonder if Mrs. Piermonts theme in 4-2 is actually used in the game. And there doesn't seem to be any difference to 4-9, other than that it just stops at some point. At least I can't hear any difference

imo the problem with 3d is that it soon starts to look dated - look at Simon3D and you know what I mean. On the other hand, nice handpainted backgrounds have a somewhat timeless feeling to them, like in Gabriel Knight. I assume you're talking about the first (and maybe the second) Gabriel Knight ga...

Re: proposition on iMUSE audio enhacement
As far as I gathered form previous posts, the main problem with iMUSE games are: 1. instruments are turned on and off according to what is currently going on in the game 2. there are music transitions when entering a new room which are faded in and out 3. I believe to have read, that there are also...

Re: Idiot Question
Sorry, this is kind of an idiot question but where do i get the full games? Cause i only know where to get beneath a steel sky, i was jsut wondering where do you get them and how? Do you download them somewhere or do you have to buy them? As you have already discovered, the creators of Beneath a St...

I threw this together today to give you an idea of how some of the re-made tracks might turn out: http://www.logic.turntablism.info/mp3/bass1.mp3 Keep in mind I haven't spent much time on it, and I'm also often able to make use of live instruments (such as violin and vocals) so that will definitely...

Re: DOTT: Can't load Savegames - stored on Windows Desktop
Is there a way to specify a save-path, where the game finds the savegames again? The "Save Path" setting on the "Paths" tab ought to work. Though since ScummVM uses its own browser dialog (except on Macs?), the desktop folder might not be where you expect it to be in the file hi...

Re: Selling games working with ScummVM
Could I create a dvd containing several games supported by ScummVM to SELL it? How could I know if I can include a game without having legal problems? Thanks The only games that ScummVM supports that are freely distributable are Beneath a Steel Sky and Flight of the Amazon Queen and the licenses fo...

Games like Simon the Sorcerer work best with Adlib/MT-32, try playing through a soundfont and it sounds awful as for example sometimes a Sax is used as a bass sound. I thought our Simon engine used the same music data regardless of which music driver you've selected. I.e. unlike the SCUMM engine it...
