hmm, wouldn't that get beyond the scope of ScummVM? there are lots help-boards for the games themselves out there already. Another good place to look is the Universal Hint System Web page. Some of the hints are for download only, and thus need a standalone reader, but most of the games I've looked ...

Re: Sam & Max bug?

I´ve been playing Sam & Max with ScummVM a bit and it worked good until i got to the gator golf. As i remember it you where supposed to shoot the golf balls in the water on the side of the aligators, but when i try this nothing happends, You misremember, I'm afraid. The alligators want food, no...

Check decrunchFile() in simon/simon.cpp of ScummVM source code. Ok, I'll see if I can figure something out. I'll let someone who knows how it should be done worry about adding the demo details to the Simon engine because, as was said earlier, that hasn't been done yet. ScummVM currently says: MD5s ...

yes i went their and it says to type 'cd \your\path\to\scummvm but it dosnt do anything it cant find it You didn't literally type that literally, I hope. The '\your\path\to\scummvm' is just an example (and the quotation marks should, of course, not be typed either). Assuming you use Microsoft Windo...

SDL_Mixer provides MOD support, but isn't used by ScummVM, due to portability reasons. Several ports of ScummVM use custom backends for better performance, check http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Platforms If MikMod or ModPlug supports Protracker MOD music, I assume we could borrow code from there....

However, there is some brief discussion about it in the ScummVM patch tracker.

So then, someone should "just" apply the ScummVM loading routines for a ScummVM savegame, and then dump it in original-EXE-format. Is there really no desire for that? Let us know when you've figured out what the original savegame format looks like. At least the fact that some Sc...

Re: Ultimate game versions/Ultimate audio versions

Loom: Also a matter of taste. Either the FM-Towns, which is like the EGA, Atari and Amiga version, but with 256 colors and CD audio, but no talkie. The PC VGA version is considered a director's cut, though it is considerably shorter at the advantage of being a talkie version. Of course, if it's the...

Might even convert all the rest of .mp3 files that I have for all the other ScummVM supported games  Converting an MP3 file to an Ogg file is probably not a good idea, if that's really what you meant, since both MP3 and Ogg Vorbis use "lossy" compression. That means that what you ge...
