When adding the game, it comes up with two options, both simply say "Loom". I've tried both, and neither work like the Cd version. It plays and looks like the EGA version. This seems very odd to me. Surely the data files for the CD version do not contain the text and graphics from the flo...

I think that, too, is a consequence of piloting the submarine backwards. (To change direction, you need to stop the engines first.)

Re: Monkey Island Madness - problems with sound in MI 1

I read another earlier post that said the Monkey Island One uses a different system than the other two. The program scummvm needs to read the audio files as .ogg? The post said it was impossible to compress the music files into ogg. So is there ANY way to play music with Monkey Island One on scummv...

Re: Help me... SCUMMVM (Mac) doesn't recognize files

The problem I'm facing: I click on the SCUMMVM icon, and the emulator starts a nicely 8bit window that brings memories back from my sweet Amiga times. Then, I click on "Add Game..." button and the OS X window opens: now I should select the games to add, but they are shaded in gray and it ...

The Wikipedia article on the subject describes it as "a type of naturally occurring glass, produced from volcanoes", and has a couple of pictures of it.

Re: Help w/ Fate of Atlantis...

I've been replaying my dad's old copy of Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, and I've gotten as far as the submarine. Except, when it comes to steering the sub, the game tells me the rudder's locked--even though I've found all the levers and unlocked the steering wheel. Is this some kind of gli...

Re: Gobliiins crashes after credits screen.

I have a problem with running gobliiins with ScummVM. After the credits screen the game crashes. You don't mention which version of Gobliiins this is. If it's the CD version, and you are playing both the game and the music directly from the CD, it could be the old, known Windows problem mentioned i...

The DOS version I habe could use 320 or 640 resolution. There are two different EXEs for that. Dunno what the WIN version is capable of...!? Either 640x480 or 640x400, I believe. I don't remember for certain, and I don't remember if you could still use the lower resolution. I don't even remember if...

It must be the Windows version I have, since I was able to play it with Wine, albeit with occasional crashes. Is it my imagination, or did the Windows version have higher-resolution graphics than the DOS version?

A horror game... it's not popular genre in our team. Even less luck... It's not? What about Day of the Tentacle, then? Seriously, though, I've played Prisoner of Ice. It didn't make any deeper impression on me -- I've already forgotten most of it -- but I still remember it as being a pretty ...

Great, this ReadMe has *nix linefeeds. The command-line version of Unzip has an option for automatically converting newlines to the native format, but I don't know if that's a standard feature of all unzipping programs. (WinZip seems to have an option for doing it with TAR archives.) Also, many tex...

Re: Broken Sword 1 crashes with aspect ratio correction

If one overrides default settings for global graphics settings and ticks aspect ratio correction under Broken Sword 1 in 0.8.0, game crashes There was indeed a bug; one which I hope is fixed now, both in the development version of ScummVM and the 0.8 branch, in case we release ScummVM 0.8.1. In the...

hq3x - Very nice high quality filter but slow. Factor 3x. ^^ ops its good, for run faster other mode? I'm not sure I understand your question... Most of the games you can play with ScummVM uses 320x200 pixels (though some use 640x480). Through the various filters, this can be scaled to twice or thr...

Re: screen shaking - wrong speed

You can't expect ScummVM to run 100% in Real-Time on a machine below 1-2GHz. Huh? That's nonsense. I've been running ScummVM on a 450 MHz PIII for years. With the 320x200 games, the CPU load stays fairly low most of the time, even when using the fancier graphics scalers. (Running the 640x480 games ...
