Re: Monkey Island 2 music bug on booty island
There does indeed seem to be some sort of regression here compared to earlier versions. Tentatively, I believe it's caused by https://github.com/scummvm/scummvm/commit/28d8e43675e7f22cf5646c4aadecb5509095c394 which is a shame because I had hoped for something smaller. (Though it may not be the whole...

Re: Fast Forward?
Wait, how is that even possible? Just because I use emulated Roland MT-32 it shouldn't be that slow? It has to be a bug, not sure if in ScummVM or the game itself. I should probably report that as a bug. I think it's sending a lot of SysEx messages to the MT-32 here, and at least according to https...

Re: Fast Forward?
Is this by any chance the reason "Lure of the Temptress" is rather slow in loading? It takes quite a time just to get into the menu. Do you mean e.g. the title screen where a note symbol is blinking in the lower left corner? I don't really know what it's doing, but it seems to depend on w...

Re: Fast Forward?
If there's no such hotkey, is there any way I can request it? It'd have to be implemented on an engine-by-engine basis. Some have it, many don't. E.g. with SCUMM games, you can press Ctrl+F or Ctrl+G to toggle "fast mode" and "really fast mode". You can use Ctrl+F in the SImon t...

Re: Removed games? (detection engine and other reasons)
I don't know for sure, but that would be my guess. There's been a lot of activity in that game engine lately: https://github.com/scummvm/scummvm/comm ... engines/m4Cognoscenti wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 6:42 am there is a hope to see RIPLEY's BELIEVE IT OR NOT added in the compatibility list again in 2025 ?

Re: The Dark Eye won’t launch on iPad and iPhone
I believe there were some changes made in the development version and the 2.9 branch to fix excessive stack usage. Supposedly that would help the game run on Android, so maybe it makes a difference for iPad/iPhone as well? But it's not in any stable release yet.

Re: I solved a problem with German Mac version of Full Throttle
I just added "Vollgas" and "Vollgas Demo" to the list of Macintosh executables ScummVM looks for. Since I don't have the German version, it would be great if you could test this once it makes it into the next nightly build. I also update the filename in the wiki. Thanks for point...

Re: Monkey Island 1 - Mac
Actually I have just checked the latest development build and the cursors are indeed correct for all those games, I tested each one. For the later era adventures from Day of the Tentacle onwards, the Mac versions incorporated the customized cursors of the PC releases. Whew! Yeah, the later SCUMM ga...

Re: List of fan made ScummVM (or original) game enhancements
I haven't tried it myself, but The Fat Man and Team Fat have released some of the Humongous Entertainment soundtracks on Bandcamp, and they supposedly contain ScummVM compatible versions too: https://thefatmanandteamfat.bandcamp.com/

It should, I guess? I've only tried a few AGS games in ScummVM myself.Cognoscenti wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2025 6:45 am just want to know if Space Quest II (REMAKE) VGA v2.0 is compatible with ScummVM 2.9.0 ?

Re: Monkey Island 1 - Mac
Being able to get an accurate Mac mouse cursor in every game would be great. You'll have to remind me which ones are incorrect. This is what the cursors currently look like in Last Crusade, Loom, Monkey Island 1, Monkey Island 2, and Fate of Atlantis. (At least in the development version.) mac-curs...

Re: Monkey Island 1 - Mac
As an aside, in the above post it shows a menu option in Monkey Island 2 to toggle smooth graphics. That was not present in the original game. As mentioned, you need to type "rough" to toggle the graphic smoothing on/off on original hardware. I anticipate that was added for convenience in...

Re: Losing ability to save in Discworld on v2.9.0
I don't know of any alternate way of saving, but I think it's fixed in the development version now (and backported to 2.9, for if/when 2.9.1 is released). What was happening was that when the save or load dialogs were opened, it would change the key bindings to a different set than what's used in-ga...

Re: Error in Command-line-interface
Recently, when starting ScummVM, regardless of the version used, I get the following messages in the command line interface: “WARNING: Game domain xxx already exists in ConfigManager!” The "domain" is the identifier within brackets and is supposed to uniquely identify one installed game. ...
