Re: Developpers, do you plan to...
Either way, it's not something I ever plan on looking at myself. I don't really know anything about it, Vulkan is experimental on my hardware, and I use "SDL Surface" anyway because the OpenGL graphics mode doesn't offer me anything I need or want. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

According to https://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Ques ... ory_series it's not supported.PizzaCrime wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 2:50 am Is there anything I'm missing, or does this game not work with ScummVM?

Re: Developpers, do you plan to...
Apparently one of the plans for SDL 3 is some kind of 3D rendering API. I wonder if that will be of any use to ScummVM: https://discourse.libsdl.org/t/future-3d-api/33485 There was also mention of it in a recent AMA: https://www.reddit.com/r/gamedev/comments/1bro6ni/we_are_the_developers_of_sdl_ask_...

Re: Question about Minor Issue in Original LSL1 Age Quiz
At this point, my preference would be for leave as is. That seems to have been the policy for at least one other case where the copy protection was wrong: https://bugs.scummvm.org/ticket/14595 I can think of a few other cases where games have been sold with incomplete copy protection information, a...

Re: MT-32 Support
The SCUMM engine issue has its own bug report now:
https://bugs.scummvm.org/ticket/15143
If there are issues with other game engines, they will have to be reported separately.

Re: Downloading the Daily Build
I guess it's the ones linked to from https://www.scummvm.org/downloads/#daily in the "ScummVM latest Branch master" column. I haven't used them myself, though.ArthurWalden wrote: ↑Wed May 29, 2024 7:04 pm However, I am still learning my way around using ScummVM and am not sure how to download and install the daily build.

Re: MT-32 Support
Which seems wrong, because surely it should have PC speaker and PCjr, but not AdLib? If I look at Fate of Atlantis, which apparently doesn't specify which music drivers it supports, I get the full list: Well, there seems to be a bug all right, at least in the development version. This is going to g...

Re: MT-32 Support
On Windows, the dropdown for Audio -> "Preferred device" includes "MT-32 emulator", in addition to FluidSynth and GS Wavetable and a few others. I think that depends on if the game explicitly says which music drivers it supports or not. E.g. I get this if I look at the game sett...

Re: Escape from Monkey Island - Various issue reported
I haven't really tried playing Escape From Monkey Island in ScummVM, but I've always been told it's buggy, and I haven't seen much activity beyond regular maintentance in that engine. For playing the game, you may have better luck with Aaron Giles's DREAMM project: https://aarongiles.com/dreamm/ Unl...

Re: libvpx7 dependency
The daily build seems to be linked against libvpx7 but I've had no problems compiling ScummVM on Debian unstable, where it seems to link against libvpx9 for me.

Re: Slowing Down AGI?
I committed a fix - hopefully the correct one - yesterday, so the nightly builds should be easier to read from now on.ArthurWalden wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 10:53 pm Guess I'd better report it as an effective bug, then.

Re: Slowing Down AGI?
I think I see now. The function calculates for how many "clock cycles" the message box is displayed, but it's calculating it with the assumption that one second is 20 clock cycles. That may have been true once (several years ago?), but now it appears to be 40.

Re: Slowing Down AGI?
I'm playing KQ3 and the introduction goes by quite fast on modern computer, even on ScummVM. (This is a little exacerbated by the fact that I enjoy reading the games' dialogue text out loud, when I am alone in the room.) Is there a way to slow ScummVM down? I don't know of any. I mean, you can slow...

Re: Nemesis in Full Screen Mode
The bottom of the screen is used for subtitles, if you've installed the subtitle patch that Activision released for it. I don't remember off-hand if it's used for anything else.
