It's a confirmed issue with the DS port specifically, possibly others, but I've only tried DS and PC. Agentq is aware of it, it'll probably be fixed eventually. You can always boot it up on PC to see the ending if you want, that's what I did.

R4 firmware does auto DLDI patching, so you are right scumm-vm (and all other ds homebrew titles) work straight up. Just copy to your micro SD and you're off to the races. That was what drew me to purchasing the R4, it's easier to get up and running. If you did patch it, I'm not sure if R4 handles t...

I ran it a little trouble controlling the rotating restaurant in S&M too, controls were kinda touchy, but I fumbled my way through. I've had trouble with some other games finding certain items, but usually because of the DS's tiny screen they are only 1px by 6px sometimes, not any fault of the p...

I played through all of BASS on my DS/R4 not too long ago. If it's not a patching/unpatched issue try redownloading the latest version of scummvm ds-b. Sometimes (though rarely) files can get corrupted in transit.

Just FYI for on the same topic, I have been able to copy my saves from the DS version and use them on the PC version without any conversion or compression. Apparently the PC version can read compressed and uncompressed saves.

Who could resist a chance to boast their favorite adventure games! Lucas arts definitely has some of the best, my 2 favorite ones are: Sam & Max - terribly funny (if your into that style of humor) and satisfying puzzles. I can't say much for the difficulty at this point since I have almost the w...

Yep, i transfered the files to my pc and they worked. I checked the ending of bss and the animation and credits do work on the PC version, but on the DS version it's exactly as Jojojr said, no animation, just a static screen with some garbage pixels in the corner. I can send someone the sav files if...

wups, hate to bump a old thread, but I just finished BSS with the latest beta and had the same problem at the end. Anyone notice this in the PC version? Suppose I could not be lazy and try it myself. Is it possible to transfer saved games from DS to PC so I don't have to play through the whole game ...

That's my bad, I waited longer and it did come up. I tried it twice earlier and let it go for like 5-10 seconds with no luck, guess I was just impatient. I don't remember it taking that long before, but it's no big deal, once it loads the game runs fine.

fyi, I'm using an R4.

I did a quick round of testing with the new version, 1 from each build. samnmax, boots fine, loads save, everything normal. Beneath a steel sky, everything good, played around for 10 minutes, loads and saves fine. Simon1, didn't load, I tried 2 times and waiting 5-10 seconds, tried to get the menu t...

Also, do you have the latest R4 firmware? Whenever I launch a scummvm*.nds file (or any nds file) for the first time, the R4 interface asks me if it wants to create a save file for that .nds file. You can click yes, ignore or cancel. I would make sure to click yes when this happens. Also when browsi...

I recently got an R4, and I know that at least with the firmware I have (1.11) it autopatches .nds files with DLDI support, so there is no need to manually do so. I simply put the files on my card, launched scummvm, add the game, then click start and it works. I can't remember what type of fat my ca...

It's probably irrelevant at this point, but just in case it's useful: I finished sam & max with the beta3 a few days ago, with no major bugs. Couple minor random issues: 1. No music during bumpusville stage show (I think I remember having this trouble originally with the native PC version back i...

My results with the new beta: I played sam and max for another hour, no real issues. (some sound skipping during some of the animations, like the wig stealing animation, and the hiding in the big plaster fish animation.) I also booted up and played for a few minutes the following without any issues:...
