R4 firmware does auto DLDI patching, so you are right scumm-vm (and all other ds homebrew titles) work straight up. Just copy to your micro SD and you're off to the races. Yep, i transfered the files to my pc and they worked. I checked the ending of bss and the animation and credits do work on the PC version, but on the DS version it's exactly as Jojojr said, no animation, just a static screen with some garbage pixels in the corner. wups, hate to bump a old thread, but I just finished BSS with the latest beta and had the same problem at the end. Anyone notice this in the PC version? Suppose I could not be lazy and try it myself. Is it possible to transfer saved games from DS to PC so I don't have to play through the whole game ...

I did a quick round of testing with the new version, 1 from each build. samnmax, boots fine, loads save, everything normal. Also, do you have the latest R4 firmware? Whenever I launch a scummvm*.nds file (or any nds file) for the first time, the R4 interface asks me if it wants to create a save file for that .nds file. My results with the new beta: I played sam and max for another hour, no real issues. (some sound skipping during some of the animations, like the wig stealing animation, and the hiding in the big plaster fish animation.)
