Re: Curse of Monkey Island - Music stutters

The Windows drivers are a bit janky but I rarely have any real issues. I did test my PCs onboard sound and it had the same issue. Seems this has been going on a while with COMI. I tried to play it a couple of years ago and to be fair it was worse than this, so things are improving.

Re: Curse of Monkey Island - Music stutters

Heyhey! First of all, with "latest" version of ScummVM you mean 2.7.1 or the latest daily? (Try the latter one, just in case) ScummVM sets up the audio device at start-up and it shows some information on the text console: can you tell me what is the value for the audio buffer size? Also, ...

Curse of Monkey Island - Music stutters

The music will sometimes briefly stutter or cut out when Guybrush looks at an object in the scene or when quick travelling several screens in sequence. A guaranteed way to trigger a music stutter is to look at the inventory item treasure map (for the theatre lights) in Puerto Pollo. Low latency mode...

Re: Glitchy Audio

I'm running on Windows 7 x64 with a relatively heavy spec. Curse of Monkey Island doesn't use MT32. Is the MT32 emulation always active in the background?

Glitchy Audio

I recently updated to the latest stable build (windows) and I've been getting lots of audio stutters and glitches. It's especially bad when selecting dialogue but games that have streaming background music (COMI) are also pretty bad. I installed the most recent daily build and it's much improved, th...

Re: MI2 Ultimate Talkie - No MT32 in ScummVM?

Never mind. I forgot to unzip the MT-32 Roms last time I updated ScummVM. It's working fine.

MI2 Ultimate Talkie - No MT32 in ScummVM?

Just checking, is MT-32 an unsupported feature in ScummVM for MI2 Ultimate Talkie at the moment?

I've found a partial solution, disabling hardware acceleration in Dxdiag seems to make software mode work properly apart from a strange animation jitter when you rotate manny on the spot.

Promising stuff though, I could at least play the game now, even if its a bit dodgy :)

Yep, i've set the affinity using imagecfg but it hasn't helped, if i enable hardware graphics the characters have large areas missing.

Antialiasing isn't enabled in my graphics card options and I can see that its not being used.

Thanks for the replies guys, I've tried all the solutions mentioned, the only way I can get it to run is using the unofficial launcher's windowed mode.

I do find it slightly odd that I get graphical glitching in software mode, other people don't seem to be having this

Grim Fandango advice needed

Sorry for being slightly off topic as I know it doesn't and will never work with scummvm but I always assumed it still worked with XP in software mode. After years I've installed it again and I get lines all over the screen in software mode and partially invisible characters in accelerated mode (as ...

Excellent, Zak McKracken FM Towns is working perfectly with the new scaler so far.

I recently noticed lines appearing on the screen when playing Simon The Sorcerer, usually just as a character starts to talk.

Don't think its related to the cpu scaler.

Many thanks again :)

Hi man, Thanks for all the work youre doing, this is my favorite toy right now :) Everything I've tried seems to work well apart from when using the cpu scaler in the FM-Towns version of Zak. It appears to break the inventory part of the screen as everything below the top two lines is completely bla...
