OK, thanks.

Shame that you can't be sure you've done everything.

I guess I'll keep an eye on the tracker.

Ta,

Do the Series IQ Points in INDY3 work fully?

Hi, I've just finished Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure with the latest release of ScummVM on Linux. It's not possible to get all 800 available IQ Points in one run-through, I don't think - because some points are awarded for completing puzzles in alternative ways. In the or...

Yeah, a quick google online throws up ppl illegally downloading the floppy version and then complaining they can't get past the copy protection. It would be interesting to see if the manual it shipped with was full-size, like the manual with the first floppy disk version of StS1 (not so I can get pa...

The main thing I'd be interested to hear now is what the StS2 floppy version was made up of.

Presumably a black box (I think only StS1 early releases had purple edges) but did it have a full-size manual and were the discs copy protected?

Curious ...

Poster, eh?

Not heard of that before ...

It's like opening a Christmas Cracker, buying a copy of StS, eh?

OK, Yes, I now have the original release CD jewel case in front of me. It has the colour inlay, B&W manual and colour rear inlay (with a bizarre picture of Chipper looking suspiciously more like a sheep than a dog, IMHO!) that says the package was designed and mastered by Creative Consultants, B...

Not rumour, I read an article with interviews of LucasArts peeps at the time. They got loads of calls from ppl asking where to find the extra disks ... they got so annoyed with it, the joke was removed in the CD version, then parodied in MI2.

Ahh. so they're not used by the game itself (and therefore ScummVM).

I thought as much, but it's nice to have that confirmed.

Thx all,

Sam.

Does ScummVM make use of Sam and Max's bonus audio tracks?

As per subject, really. The original CD of Sam & Max Hit the Road came with four bonus audio tracks: 1. "Theme from Sam & Max" - 2:02 2. "Moleman Music" - 3:36 3. "King of the Creatures" - 1:39 4. "The Bigfoot Shuffle" - 5:05 Does ScummVM make any use ...

The hint book here?

http://www.adventuresoft.com/acatalog/Hint_Books.html

It's still for sale from Adventure Soft and I think has always been sold separately.

Perhaps that's the pic I've just spotted ... will find out more about it, if I can. Is your version the first big box cd-rom release, then? As pictured at the link above, with purple edges to the box? StS has been repackaged so often I think the first editions are quite hard to get hold of now. Sam.

I've also discovered that there was a colour jewel case inlay (possibly a manual) ...

Bad form to reply to one's own post, but this site seems to be remarkably helpful, and has a scan of the English parts of the big DOS floppy manual ... http://www.game-nostalgia.com/simon/simon_the_sorcerer.html So it seems the original CD and inlay I bought is from the original CD-ROM release (tho ...

Yes, that's what I'd expect. The Simon games don't sell well enough for them to justify spending a lot on a new print-run, I suspect. So when it came round again, they already had the PDFs on the disk (they have done since they released the Windows versions, I think, so that they didn't have to re-p...

Simon the Sorcerer I manual - question

Hi, I have most of the Simon the Sorcerers (well, all apart from 4) in a variety of formats. When I first bought the big box releases of 1 & 2, I noticed at the time that I didn't get a manual for 1 whereas Simon 2 came with a CD inlay one. I suspect they ran out of inlay manuals and/or cases an...
