The problem I see with this idea is not so much implementing it, as making it actually usable by a regular user: Sure, we could add a "sort_id" to every game's config entry, which you could set via a text editor, or even via the game edit dialog. But using that is very far from intuitive ...

After testing things a bit, it seems the problem is that the 32bit version of ScummVM will no longer run properly on 64bit Windows 7 -- the w32 daily build does not work, but the w64 one does.

So, does anyone know how to compile for 64bit OSes?

Do you have any links or anything as to the patch being broken? What does the error mean? What files in the patch does the Hz So Good appear in, so I could swap it for the original CD files? It would be easier, as I really don't want to have to restart the whole game. You shouldn't need to restart ...

There should not be any crashes when playing the game with ScummVM, as long as you copy all of the files from the CD to your HD. That is of course unless new bugs have slipped by, in which case you should probably file a bug report so it can be fixed. I believe the crash with the patch is known and ...

People here will probably not point you to illegal downloads, but if you did buy it/have the data files, you should be able to run it using Gargoyle , which is a sort of sub-project of ScummVM. DOSBox would also work. No version you get will ever be compatible with Windows 7. And just to pre-empt th...

Yes, unless there has been an update in the last couple days which breaks compatibility.

Compiled ScummVM no longer runs (MinGW)

Ok, so, I usually compile my own build of ScummVM on both Windows and Linux, and I've run into some problems since the release of 1.3.0. On Linux everything still works fine, but when compiling on Windows 7 with MinGW, the .exe produced now no longer runs. The console and ScummVM windows both open b...

Re: still problem with Laura Bow 2 CD

The problem with CD version of the 'Laura Bow 2 - The Dagger of Amon Ra' still exists. I quote myself from the 'ScummVM 1.2.0 "FaSCInating release" is here!' forum. ' I've tried Laura Bow CD version and I've set the audio to both speech and text mode in the scummvm menu (in the 'edit game...
