Future Wars (Dos/English) is completable on XP with the latest 1.0.0 SVN with no errors except for the non-functionality of restart and pause which has already been noted. The intro splash screens also go by extremely quickly after passing the copy protection, but I think that's normal.

Try downloading the latest development (SVN) version at the bottom of the download page.

If it still doesn't work, you should probably file a bug report.

It works fine for me, so if you provided a bit more information, such as your game version, platform, and scummvm version I think people would have an easier time helping you. The only obvious thing I can think of is to make sure your save game directory is somewhere scummvm is able to write files (...

It's just old American comic book style. Read any comic or graphic novel published in the US from 1950-2000 and they will be loaded with those bolded words, often in positions that make no sense. I'm not 100% sure but I think BASS was written to be kind of comic-bookish, and there was a fairly well ...

It's the dwarf's forge and the brazier in the palace dungeon if I remember. The fireplace might work too, dunno.

Okay, another problem now. I'm on Act IV and I've got Mambo. According to UHS and other walkthroughs, I'm supposed to light and use the firecrackers on Mambo once I get to the Square. Unfortunately, I did that once I picked him up. Whenever I go to the Square, leave and then come back again,...

Well, you can run most games supported by ScummVM in Dosbox just fine. That's not really the point, no? It's true that HoMM2 is definitely not in the scope of ScummVM though. What I meant was, it's not like there is no alternative way to run the game. Like I said before, there is a Windows version ...

Just finished Ween: The Prophecy (Dos/English) on the August 1st 1.0.0 SVN on Windows XP. There are various animation glitches and one avoidable crash bug that I will post in a bit.

Edit: Posted two bugs for Ween... #2830985 and #2830988

There is a working Windows version, but I'm not sure whether or not it will run on Vista. I'm running Win XP on my desktop and it was working fine last time I played it. I installed the version that came bundled with special edition of HoM&M V. Besides, I'm sure you can run the DOS version usin...

Just informing, I completed The Bizzare Adventures of Woodruff and the Schibble of Azimuth(English/DOS) on the 1.0.0 svn under Windows XP. I tried starting the game again to reproduce the error I got with the master appearing, but couldn't. It must have been a one time error sort of thing. I'll try ...

Been running through Woodruff and the Schnibble, which was completable before, but now seems to be broken. In addition to some new graphical glitches, there now seems to be a bug that makes the game uncompletable, but I want to confirm that is it actually a bug here -- after going back into the past...

Just completed Discworld 2: Missing Presumed ...!? (CD/DOS/ENGLISH (US)) on the July 16th 1.0.0 SVN, on Windows XP.

Impressively, I noticed no real glitches (though I wasn't trying THAT hard to find them), good job! I might play through again in a bit looking for errors a bit more actively.

Honestly though I'm not sure if any of these should be reported as bugs or if they are just bugs from the scripts. Maybe if you just list them here in the thread, someone can put them into the Wiki in the Tinsel Bugs page - we don't really want a lot of bug entries for glitches that were in the ori...

I just completed Discworld (CD/DOS/ENGLISH) on ScummVM 1.0.0SVN from June 12th. I am running Windows XP. The game is completable, though it has a lot of glitches, mostly graphical. The only problem is I have no idea if these were all present in the original interpreter or not -- I am pretty sure mos...

Re: Monkey Island / PC Gamer connection?

One thing that's always confused me for years is the following piece on LucasArts' MI1 patches page: IMPORTANT: If you are using the PC Gamer version of Monkey Island 1: The Secret of Monkey Island or Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge, please do not install this update. A special version of the 48...
