Well even if I follow KuroShiro's instructions to the letter, where do I type "./configure && make"? Those are basically Linux commands. I guess I did sort of miss one step -- if you follow exactly what I said, after installing all the programs, you have to run the msys program (i...

Well, I can give you a simple guide to how I do it. First, get the source from the git repository. You can do this using the git program and a command line ('git clone https://github.com/residualvm/residualvm.git', or just 'git pull' if you've already cloned the repository), or some other repo check...

Re: OSX Lion and Fullscreen

Changed the preferences file to run in windowed mode and everything was OK Sorry, what file do you have to edit? Simply reinstalling ScummVM doesn't seem to fix the problem. You need to edit scummvm.ini which isn't changed upon reinstall. On Windows Vista/7, it's generally in C:/Users/[UserDirector...

It works fine for me with v1.3.1.

Does the console window output any error messages when the game stops working? You might also try re-copying all the data files for the game. It would also probably make helping you easier if you mentioned your OS and what version of the game you're using.

as far as I know the only difference should be 3D mode is turned off. No. Most flashcarts run in DS mode, and aren't even able to take advantage of the extra memory and processor power of the DSi, let alone the 3DS. I think the lone exception is the CycloDS iEVO, and ScummVM DS doesn't run properly...

Searching the forums for this game, it appears the DOS version was tested several times before this game was supported months ago, so I don't see what a daily build would get me. Sometimes new versions are added after release, so some games might be detected by the daily builds that aren't in the r...

It's possible you have an unknown version of the game. Check the console window when you try to add the game. If it has information about files along with md5 values, then you can report those and the devs will add it. Otherwise, it'd probably be helpful if you gave a bit more information, such as t...

Since it hasn't been mentioned, Veil of Darkness is my personal favorite horror adventure game. It's a bit RPG-ish as it has combat, but it's probably more of an adventure game.

The only problem is I recall it being a bit of a pain to get to work properly in DosBOX.

Happy to report that this is completable with no major bugs as of the latest daily build.

The hit rate for melee attacks feels like it is a bit lower than it was in the original, but that may just be my faulty memory.

Anyway, great job!

This is because Kirben, who used to make the daily builds in installer form, left the project quit suddenly. We plan to eventually provide daily builds as installers again, but this is still work in progress. In the meantime, I hope that unpacking a .zip file and copying scummvm.exe to a suitable l...

Thanks to you both. I'll remember that. However, if you go back and you still don't have all the items, then they will have you go in despite it. I didn't get that last bit. "go back" where? where will they have me go despite what? Telling you much more than that becomes a pretty big spoi...

Thanks, guys. Really helpful. By the way, balpat, will I be able to tell that I have the necessary items? Am I told (by a character, list, or whatever) that I'm supposed to acquire certain things? The first time you go to the island with the catacombs and reach the top of the cliffs, you'll be give...

As for sorting by meta-data: That, too, could be done, and seems slightly less superficial and user unfriendly (at least as long as done properly, in particular, the value by which stuff is sorted must be made visible to the user). Alas, besides implementing this all, it would also mean adding this...
