The config file on OS X is ~/Library/Preferences/ScummVM Preferences.

If you start ScummVM using the Finder, all messages will be written to

/Library/Logs/Console/«UID»/console.log

where «UID» ist your current user’s ID.

You can view this log file through Applications - Utilities - Console.app

I can reproduce what you described with a German version of COMI (ScummVM 0.10.0svn):

Title ScreenChapter Screen

This happens if the language is set to “German”. Selecting “English” gives the original screens.

Of course, it may be possible to select a SoundFont from the operating system instead. But if so, I wouldn't know how. Yes it is possible. You have to put the soundfont into /Library/Audio/Sounds/Banks/ or ~/Library/Audio/Sounds/Banks/ . Now you can select it through System Preferences » QuickTime ...

You only need the file called “Day of the Tentacle Data” from the CD-ROM (as stated on the game data files page ). Let's assume you copied it to the directory C:\DOTT\ . Now, to add the game you have to point ScummVM to the directory that contains the data file. Select “Add Game...”, browse to C:\DO...
