Re: Current status of microscope puzzle difficulty in T7G (& possible feature request for Groovie engine)

The only thing which is scripted is the difficulty level which I assume, is either calculated or used as a setting somewhere deep in the scripts. Well, that's exactly it - feverishly wracking my brains some more to try to remember the details of what I read in that article 2-3 months ago*, I think ...

Had my pledge in early-on as well (and have bumped it up one tier since). Certainly looking forward to some more of the story :D

Never played 7th Guest, always remember seeing ads in comic books and stuff in the 90's and thinking it looked awesome though. The price is right, I'll give it a bash ;-) If you feel the need for a larger screen or a mouse, you can also extract the .ipa package on the computer somewhere and point S...

Sad that the team feels Facebook is a better medium for news posting rather than your own site  Sad that you jump to that conclusion... I'm don't know if you actually clicked through, but (and this is my personal opinion) the additional fun little tidbits being as the TsAGE SLOC count aren't ...

Progress on Groovie, a little (see the music enhancement project).

As for 11H support, it gets poked at now and then but nothing groundbreaking to report.

That's a very long 'ish', but yes - both are prerendered, so belong in ScummVM.

Clandestiny (and, apparently, Uncle Henry) appear to not use XMI music, hence the missing file. Invalid header is an interesting one though - seems they kept tweaking the engine slightly between each game.

What was the error message? The game certainly wouldn't have been playable but I'd have expected at least the Groovie logo to start.

I guess you could say the 'easy' part has been done (ie, loading resources). The game world/logic hasn't been touched yet, and I don't expect it to move too fast in the near future.

Sounds like ch.rl is missing - double-check that you copied it off the game discs.

Don't need to. Copy the apk to the phone, open it via a file browser (Astro, ES File Explorer, etc) and install it from there.

I think it's just laziness and trying to make a fast buck.. You may call it that, but they could view it in terms of cost benefit. For all the other puzzles, the scripts themselves run the puzzles - just for the microscope, they would have needed to port extra code over. Obviously, time spent fixin...

Microscope puzzle would involve porting the AI over, but I can't see any 'technical' issue that would have prevented the piano puzzle - perhaps it was culled to stop the frustration

It looks like they've just increased the framerate for the video files that don't contain audio (hence several visual sequences are out of sync with the midi music - much like the Windows player). Not sure whether it's just a linear increase or slightly slower at the start/end to smooth the look a b...
