Still nothing, and I can't get NullDC to run because it says that it's missing a DLL, that's already installed in the system. What dll are you referring to? All the other self-boot images works, and I can get the Dreamcast to run the nrg files that are available for download here, so I must be doin...

Test the image in NullDC before burning the disc. If it doesn't even load in that, it wont work in a DC. If it does load in NullDC, that doesn't mean it will in a real, but it's better than the above odds. Personally, my best results were with renaming the SCUMMVM.BIN to "1ST_READ.BIN", us...

*Massive Bump*

I'm posting these links here due to both the official github readme, and the scummvm wiki page dead-linking to non-existent files.

Libronin 0.5
- Binary
- Source

Maybe someone from the scummvm team can officially mirror them somewhere, for end users?

The problem being that many of the multidisc supported game have files needed for playback spread over multiple discs. With the exception of some of the really old DOS games, it's not like they just have the files scummvm needs to access on disc 1, followed by disc 2, etc. Scummvm more than likely n...

I installed FreeDOS on a 2005 PC, so it had more recent hardware than the machines DOS originally ran on. Per E-Male's link, I installed the HX DOS Extender. After running the command from the following site to start ScummVM, it seemed to be working fine, minus some mouse issues. But to be honest, t...

Has there been any interest shown in the OpenSDK (PSL1GHT) kit being developed for the PS3?

https://github.com/ps3dev

Could this possibly be used in the future to create a PS3 ScummVM for everyone, even those without OtherOS compatible systems?

It's been said that the hackers could have jailbroken the PS3 years ago but werent that interested as it supported Linux. Hell if it had been known it was so easy to get the private key it would have been cracked wide open upon day of release. That all sounds rather Ad hoc . Could of, would of, sho...

Just thought I'd mention that the latest Xbox port isn't "old" anymore.

Well, it will definitely change as future consoles (maybe not the PS4, but the generation after that) won't rely on physical media anymore but on streaming. If the next gen systems take a cloud computing approach, which I doubt, the PS3 has more than held it's own. Being out for 4 years now, these ...

I believe the following cd-r brands are known to work on the DC:

Magnavox 800 MB
TDK 800 MB
Memorex 800 MB
Primeon Printable 800 MB
Intenso 900 MB
Mediarange 900 MB

Some of them may be hit & miss, depending on your exact DC model.

Zeldin is indeed Marcus Comstedt. That I know. There's a user on the forums with 'mc' as the username. I didn't know if it was someone who was pretending to be him or not. I even dropped the newbie guides within the DCEvo demo releases because of it. Yes, guides probably help people make disc image...

Wrong forum - this should be in the Dreamcast Port subforum. This was more a question of 'documentation' . Considering we are like the only two regular posters in the DC section, I posted where one of the devs might actually read it. I'm not sure if the user 'mc' is actually Zeldin, or not... If so...

ScummVM INI help

First of all, I was wondering when (if at all) the Dreamcast port had INI support added? Is there any documentation on how to set it up? For instance, there would be obvious parameters that wouldn't be acceptable by the DC, like - scaling, screen resolution, and various audio formats not being suppo...

Hex editing DC ScummVM

Hi all. I've been attempting to hex edit ScummVM to only recognize certain games. The reason? = Disc drive thrashing. While I'd like to put multiple games on one disc, the more you put on one, the harder the disc searching beats on the drive. It's actually worse for some games with lots of essential...
