Despite some nice graphic tricks (I really like LeChuck's ghostly glow), and how long I've waited for a talkie version of TSoMI, I can't help but be a little disappointed with this port. The animation looks frankly terrible - it's easy to accept in the original version but given today's capabilitie...

Well, the analogy isn't quite right because, even though in both instances a product isn't sold anymore, in one instance you're stealing something physical and in the other you're stealing something virtual. Yes, but you're still missing the point. In one instance, you're stealing something physica...

Well just because a car isn't produced and sold anymore, you don't have the right to steal it, right? Well, the analogy isn't quite right because, even though in both instances a product isn't sold anymore, in one instance you're stealing something physical and in the other you're stealing somethin...

The ultimate test would be a sample of people who have never played any Monkey Islands and let them listen to music from the DOS (Floppy, CD), Amiga and Mac versions. I'm sure for MI1, most people would find the CD version of MI1 to be the best. But for, say, MI2, I'd be very interested in knowing i...

You should download them. I didn't extract my classic games from floppy, i think it is risky and complicated nowadays. If you have a legal copy of them, you are 'allowed' to have a backup, and, in my opinion, the way you got it is not the most important thing. Isn't anyone going to censor this comm...

That is basically what you're asking.

What?! It's a lot of hard work, that's what it is. Period. Oh, I know it is. But you can't deny that some people are born with affinities for certain things. Some people will simply never become programmers no matter how hard they try. And others will only become mediocre programmers. This is almos...

What exactly are you bumping? The thread. If you want progress, do the work yourself. Thank you for believing that I'm a programer... Neither of the devs were programmers until they learnt HOW to program either. No, I'm pretty sure they were programmers before they learnt how to program. It's a sta...

So... judging by the current version of munt build in ScummVM, the iPhone will most probably NOT handle MT-32 emulation. But, if munt's performance is improved, then it might be likely. With the current situation, it isn't. Perhaps...but software and hardware evolve. Even if the current implementat...

MT-32 emulation requires a lot of CPU, so it's unlikely that a mobile phone will handle such a task. However, not everyone owns a MT-32, so munt is a fantastic solution! Eh? iPhone's are running on ARM chips clocked at around 600MHz and multicore CPUs for smart phones are right around the corner. T...

Don't you mean 'good news for non-MT-32 and CM-32L owners?' No, since you still need to own the actual ROMs. My point is, why use an emulator when you have the real thing? So you can enjoy it on a laptop away from the MT-32 you own? So you don't have to find a way to hook your MT-32 up to an iPhone...

Re: Which games would you like to be supported on the future?
Well, if scummVM remains a graphical point'n'click adventure game interpreter, my wish list would be the Dynamix games:
Willy Beamish
Heart of China
Rise of the Dragon
