Re: You are standing in a open field, west of a white house.
All you need to have is a copy of one of the aforementioned Activision games, and a new daily build of ScummVM . ...and Mac OS X subversions build that are available a little more frequently than once every century. Then why don't YOU take on the responsibility of compiling that subversion build ev...

But I think we should tell president Obama, or the Supreme Court, to shut down Lucasarts for all the crimes it has committed over the years! And believe me, the company committed a hell of a lot of crimes! I'd list all of them, but I'd probably run out of room... Or Obama and his administration cou...

Re: Can't locate .residualrc config file......
Hi all I'm on OS X 10.5.4 and I've successfully played grim fandango using Grim X, but I moved the grim data folder around and now the path to the game data is broken. I understand that I have to edit my .residualrc file, but for some reason I can't locate it..... Any help would be greatly apprecia...

Of course, I agree with some people in this thread that this puzzle game engine shouldn't be merged with an adventure game interpreter such as ScummVM...but whatever...it's close enough to being an adventure game. ScummVM also includes games like the Goblins series . I think what dictates inclusion...

Interesting thread. Graeme Devine once said that he had plans to port The 7th Guest to Mac OS X. It never happened but this new addition to ScummVM will, in a sense, make this come true. Of course, I agree with some people in this thread that this puzzle game engine shouldn't be merged with an adven...

Here are my long-shot suggestions (I say this because I have suggested this in the past but nobody was open to the idea): - OpenGL renderer (so that windowed-mode can scale to any arbitrary size) - A Mac-like interface (I know some may feel insulted by my lack of interest in the current front-end GU...

And MI1's CD tracks are definitely not MT-32. They sound completely different. Both have their strength, and I like them both. An MT-32 recording of the MIDI's can be found here: http://s-island.mixnmojo.com/monkey1.php The CD soundtrack can be found here: http://soundtracks.mixnmojo.com/mi1.htm Ye...

Of course, I still have no doubt in *my* mind that given the opportunity to remaster the sounds to 16-bit 44kHz, the Mac version would without a single doubt sound better. Right now there's some qualities to the MT32 that simply weren't recreated in the Mac port and qualities in the Mac sound that ...

Actually I'm talking about this site: http://soundtracks.mixnmojo.com/ I know most people have never heard the Mac audio and never will be able to listen to them on an old Mac or even under emulation (Mac emulation is in a very sad state). This site is the only way most people can hear some of the M...
