The Mac version of many LucasArts games had, hands down, the best music. The Amiga had quite probably the worse music. The Mac version of MI, MI2, Fate of Atlantis had a far greater range of instruments and sounds than any of the other platforms through the simple fact that the Mac version wasn't li...

No it doesn't, sorry. Here your memory is playing tricks on you, I think -- at least when I hear them both in parallel, then to me they sound vastly different. In fact, even the ScummVm QuickTime and CoreAudio drivers differ, if you pay a bit attention. Oh...don't get me wrong :) I know they are di...

No, not really. Shouldn't the MT32 emulation just be removed from the options then? With such a large default value, no computer in the world will allow a fluid stutterless emulation of the MT32. Not even my Mac Pro 4x3.0 GHz can handle the MT32 emulation. I also find it amusing that the Mac versio...

Wow...seems like at least two people are still taking my post seriously. In a grossly exaggerated caricature, I've expressed the bi-annual FreeSCI posts that seem to crop on these forums. I really love the ScummVM team's work. I guess next time I should use [sarcasm] and [lampoon] tags with a few sm...

I would certainly welcome a ScummVM/FreeSCI merger or faster, more portable development of FreeSCI, but it is becoming increasingly moot and the time and effort of the ScummVM team are probably better spent on other things. I am sure that lots of people (me included) will definitely welcome such me...

(he says the OS and his modern display do the scaling)...it's simply untrue. Maybe it works on his OS and his display, but not on yours? Ok...have I stepped into the Twilight Zone? Why did this thread get created in the first place? And why are people talking about an OpenGL solution? If the OS doe...

Exactly...that's what I wanted to hear...why fingolfin is trying to make me believe otherwise is beyond me. I want to hear those words from fingolfin himself. You make less and less sense. What on earth are you trying to say that fingolfin is 'making you believe'? That ScummVM somehow already does ...

why fingolfin is trying to make me believe otherwise is beyond me. I want to hear those words from fingolfin himself. Contribute to ScummVM as much code as Fingolfin did, and then come back with your statements. Until that go and read forum rules, especially Forum Rule #4. Eugene PS. The reason for...

can you tell me why there's a black border around, say, Monkey Island 1 at 3x Cause 320x200 X3 = 960x600... hence the black borders you get on your 1280x1024 screen mode. That's the way fixed scalers work, no voodoo magic behind it. 'nuff said. Exactly...that's what I wanted to hear...why fingolfin...

I'm thinking it'll have to be done eventually (sooner than later) considering resolution independence is right around the corner with Vista, OS X and a few Linux distros. Someone should consider putting some time into this because it'll have to done one day anyway. Why has it to be done one day? I ...
