well presumably there are just some parts of the code that are a problem. Not every part of the file is a problem. So you could have software that filters out all the assets into one file and then ScummVM fills in the code parts which are a problem. Also with the copyright issue, isn't illegal to co...

Yes but as has been pointed out the problem isn't that Apple won't allow ScummVM onto the appstore, it's that the ScummVM team are taking a stand against Apple putting that in the EULA as it's there (and let's be completely honest about this) to stop Adobe and Sun putting in Java and Flash apps. How...

Firstly, just forget about what I said earlier about locking the topic. That was a crazy screwed up time. Well actually no i just wasn't thinking about. Secondly, why don't we compile a list of every issue with the appstore version of Scummvm and try address them all. The topic is just getting to me...

Ok, just a final point. If you're going to boycott the appstore, why don't you tell Apple? If they know that this fantastic App is not going on the appstore with the SDK rules you object to, they might change them. I don't think this is as nuts as it sounds. If ScummVM isn't on the Appstore, more pe...

Ok first... Apple have made the rules for the EULA fairly broad. Doesn't that mean that they have done this so that they can stop apps in that they don't like? ScummVM doesn't do anything that apple objects to, so even though it technically breaks the rules, it doesn't break the rules in a way that ...

Ok first up, I love ScummVM. Just for the record... I'd like to clarify, does ScummVM need the executable file from the adventure game to run (e.g. it's not like Frotz where only the file which contains the adventure needs to be read)? When you refer to certain engines not supporting autosaving, do ...
