Re: Flight of the Amazon Queen on iPhone

... BTW If you have any say in it I want more Scummvm ports on the iphone. In particular, Full throttle,TDOTT and dig. I hope they bring out MI3 and BS2 too. Many thanks Chris Revolution Studios have released great ports/remakes of Broken Sword 1(a director's cut even!) and Beneath a Steel Sky for ...

Thanks for the heads up. I been wanting to play Innocent Until Caught(prequel to Guilty, I believe, which I recall playing and enjoying a lot back on my 486). Of course it's still a beta so I can't expect everything to run well. I've only tried both Leisure Suit Larry 6 and Guilty. The latter is nea...

well as you're phone's jailbroken(it's gotta be), you can install appsync from cydia (google around). not exactly sure what it does specifically but it allows you to add apps to itunes that will sync with your ipodtouch. so what i do then is: -download the .bz2 file -open with winrar -extract the sc...

In the m33 recovery menu(hold right trigger when booting the PSP), have you enabled the fast memstick reading setting? Forgot what it was called but it should be in the configs somewhere. Also to make sure that in the VSH menu, the CPU is set to 333/133 for ingame as well. Assuming you haven't alrea...

Did some more testing. This is all in comparison to the aforementioned nightly build: SCUMM engine games now have very jumpy pointer movement. I tested Indy Atlantis, Sam and Max and DOTT, all talkie, all with compressed OGG audio. Compared to the nightly build, when moving the "mouse" aro...

Gonna give it a go with my usual Broken Sword 2, DW1 and DW2 test. As I've only got a slim as well, won't be able to comment on the phat performance. update: in comparison to build 43526 BS2 - same: excellent DW1 - same: imperceptible slowdowns DW2 - same performance BUT without the artefacts i got ...

PSP Slim, 5.00m33-6 XMB set to 333/166 for ingame nightly build 043526 for all attempts, going to CWcheat shows 333/166 Discworld 1: buttery smooth Discworld 2: definitely playable, slightly jerky. shows off-color pixels in dark spots (hard to explain) that disappear when the scene animation changes...

I dunno what tweaks were done to the tinsel engine, but Discworld is working smoother than ever. Entering the cafeteria where all the wizards are(at the beginning), the slowdown is almost gone.

Discworld 2 however, doesn't load. It just thinks for a bit then you're thrown back to the XMB.

...i've already set it to run at 333mhz and enabled the "Speed up MS access" in recovery. I'm on 5.00m33-6 Those were the two things I was going to suggest. The only thing I can think of is that you're using an old version of scummvm (like, 0.10 for example). If all else fails, try pix2's...

I'm not sure if this is a bug or if I'm missing something, but pressing the Start button doesn't bring up the main menu like F1 would on the PC. All it brings up is the Save box. No Load, Settings, Quit etc. EDIT: Nevermind, worked it out. :) For anyone else wondering, just press L1 after pressing ...

Ah you grabbed the nightly build. Yeah I believe then that it still needs to be compiled/converted into something that makes sense(an eboot).

I'm mostly useless and even more lazy so I just hang on the mercy and generosity of Pix2.

Do you mean the 0.14.0 from Pix2's site (http://pix.www.idnet.com/)?

Cuz that's an already compiled working PSP version of 0.14.0 and I have no idea what scummvm.elf is, heh.

Correct. Was a no go unfortunately.

cwcheat showed it already going at 333/166. I still manually set it just in case, but nothing changed with regards to DW 1/2 gameplay.

In any case, I'll keep it installed. Much as I may not like to admit it, that ingame text reader should come in handy *cough*.
