Diversity is great, why should they merge? Possibly no reason other than each project puts things in different places. Of course, that allows a person to have both, and keeps everything separate from the OS, but it can cause problems when the source looks for a Fink install or a MacPorts install an...

With Xcode 3.1.4 (which is, I think, the latest available version for PPC Macs) the default gcc compiler is version 4.0.1, although 4.2 is available for use. But I don't know whether your problem making a bundle is linked to the compiler version. The error you're getting doesn't mean anything to me....

That's interesting, that you can't make a bundle. What's your exact setup? Meaning, MacPorts or Fink? If Fink, stable or unstable branch? Which version of Xcode? And, how have you configured your environment variables in your bash profile? Have you specified which gcc compiler to use? Knowing all th...

Yeah, I have to agree with giucam. What Elowan is describing clearly belongs to a build from old code. Which is probably why make bundle doesn't work (which certainly worked for me earlier today, just as it has done for longer than I can recall). And it has to be why saving/loading doesn't work for ...

There is an old bug in the sf.net-tracker about exactly that, although I've never seen it on OS X. If you're talking about the screen resolution thing, I've never seen it in OSX either. I was referring to Fedora, which is a Linux distro (just as Ubuntu is). I had missed that bug report. It's the sa...

oh, well.... are there some options for the game, that must be tweaked in residual options? because my save-game loads.. but stands still in the land of the living... before saveing game, it worked... but slower than the chapter around the office.... Some game options can be tweaked from the Residu...

Same deal of OSX (~/Library/Preferences). I'd be curious whether Graxer, when he gets ResidualVM to run fullscreen, has any issues with the screen resolution when he exits the program. When running ResidualVM in Fedora, the screen resolution remains 800x600 and I have to manually switch it back to n...

Seeing LucasArts in it could just be wishful thinking. After all, over at LucasForums there was an effort to link all the hints given to LucasArts titles. So, what was the first thing unveiled? Alone in the Dark. And for some reason I can't put my finger on, I have the feeling that LucasArts managem...

Not only cool, but ScummVM might have been used in creating that article. Scalers are clearly being used in the screenshots of ScummVM supported games. Of course, you can do that with DOSBox, but if they were using DOSBox alone I would expect all the screenshots to show the same amount of smoothing.
