That sound interesting :) What games would work the the Archos ? Is scummvm on applib ? ScummVM is on applib, but I didn't upload all the plugin packages (out of laziness - I didn't know if it even worked on Archos at the time). You can get the rest of the plugin packages from http://sites.google.c...

Re: Android (and other touchscreen devices) usability sugges

Hey guys, been playing SCUMMVM on my Android phone for a while and it's brilliant (thanks Angus Lees, great job) but find the controls quite fiddly, especially when clicking on text or trying to find onscreen objects. I've got a suggestion I think would improve usability on touch-screen devices, wh...

thanks for the tip with the "Available engines", i just had installed the scumm plugin, but now, after re-installation of the plugin, my games run! Glad to hear there was an easy workaround. By the way, this is Android Bug 5521: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=5521 I'll ...

Whats the status gus? Milestone without scummvm is only half the fun  Any donate links to speed up the work? Never thought of donate links ... At the moment I'm trying to clean up the build process so I can get the Android port made official and merged in with the main ScummVM code base...

Re: ScummVM o Android 1.6: Couldn't find game in directory

i'm using ScummVM on my Ubuntu PC, running Loom, DOTT and Maniac Mansion. Now i found ScummVM on the Android Market (i'm using Android 1.6 on my HTC Magic), installed the base Version and the plugin: scumm, copied the game files from my PC on the SD card in a new created game directory and tried to...

Input requirements (for port authors)

Is there a catalog somewhere of the various input styles used by ScummVM games? One of the most difficult things for me (with the Android port) has been working out what input combinations need to be supplied for games I've never played before - it would be very useful if this was written down somew...

I have read the FAQ, and you say that to be able to run it on Android you turned it into a JNI library. I know very little of Java but, is the Android NDK supposed to do that? When I read the initial discussion about Android running Java and thus not being able to run ScummVM, the first thing I tho...

As for that: It would still be very nice if this port was finally merged into mainline ScummVM. Sadly, I haven't seen any updates to the relevant patch tracker submission by gus in ages :-/. It would also allow others to build the port easily, and to contribute. Not to forget that by the GPL, we ne...

Yes, works just fine on G2. Android 2.0 (Droid) is the only problem case at the moment.

Yep, ScummVM doesn't work on Android 2.0 yet.

(They rearranged some native libraries. I haven't looked into what's required to support it yet)

Somehow i seem to be falling at the first hurdle. Installed scummvm from the android apps shop, added all the files as required on the faq for DOTT from a CD version i have. Also tried to load up flight of the amazon queen from the freeware download, each time i add it to the SD card (J: drive), un...

Hello everybody: i have found some problems with the CD Talkie version [samnmax] (Spanish Version) and i have no FX sound. I have tested it in Ubuntu version (1.0.0rc1) and it works perfectly... Note: I compressed the audio with Scumm Tools time ago (monster.sou to monster.so3). The speech works al...

What I really miss from the Android ScummVM version is the possibility to run all the Kyrandia games. It seems the engine kyra.dat is missing in the version of the program available in the Android market, and those games cannot be played. A pity. If I knew how to modify the .apk file to include the...

Re: Creative Zii with Android

I was wondering if any port was already plan on Android + ARM? I guess if yes, then it should work on that device too. Yes I have an unofficial(*) ScummVM port on the Android market (built for ARM). Assuming it's the same ARM ABI that's in the various released Android handsets then it should work f...

Re: Android/HTC Hero/Track Ball Click

Have installed the 'unofficial' port of scummvm on my HTC Hero and the track ball press does not cause a mouse click to occur. I would post on the google project site but no menas of contact is available. Hopefully this information will make its way to Angus Lees. Great work to all scummvm devs. My...
