OK, I am using the latest version of scummvm from the marketplace. I can bring up the GMM but cannot save (as outlined before). The latest market version is still based on a ScummVM trunk version from a few months ago. I'll merge up to the latest trunk and release a new version so hopefully that wi...

The port runs great. It would be nice if the Magic was taken into consideration. There are a lot of phones coming up without hardware keyboard so it should be worth doing. :) I agree completely :) I've been working on other stuff lately so haven't had time to work out how to fire up the onscreen ke...

I saw that you made scummvm-rc-29024 available on your google site. I installed it and it's working well so far. Let us know where we can drop bug reports if we find anything please. Feel free to email me directly (address visible via the scummvm app market details) - it's my work address so I actu...

Re: can't save game

When i try to save game, i press menu a nd there is disabled buttons save and load. How can i save the game? Depends on the game - only some of the engines save via the ScummVM menu. You probably have to press some function key, which on the android (with my latest scummvm version) means shift+num ...

Does anyone know where on the Android device save games are stored when it's Save Path is left to Default? Can I acces this directory without root access to my G1? Savegames are in /data/data/org.inode.gus.scummvm/app_saves/ Looking at my phone now I *think* you'll be able to overwrite an existing ...

The interface loads but when I select Add Game, I get a list of folders which I don't see when my G1 is plugged in so I can't save my game files to any of these folders. What I initially did was connect my G1 to the PC and copy to game files to a new folder. However, I am unable to browse to this f...

If on the phone, how much memory does scummvm, and e.g. monkey island take? This is important for thos eos us who havent got our phones set to ...

also is it possible to allow the game files to be stored in sub folders rather than requiring they all be in the root of the SD card? I'm a bit of a file management geek :) Oh there is no need to put the files in the root of the sdcard. I have mine in per-game subdirs of /sdcard/ScummVM/ for example.

Re: Android version (G1)

sblaise84 wrote:Who's got a G1 with scummvm? And is there a different android version than the one on the G1 market place?
The patch I made is in the scummvm patches queue (but not yet in svn) - you could apply that and build your own scummvm.apk.

Is there some change in particular you were looking for?

Gotta say, I love scummvm on my G1. Works fairly well although the touchscreen could be better. Hitting small items with ur fingers a pain. And I wish I knew if it was gonna be updated, as a couple games have freezing issues. Oh well, guess I can't have everything. Yes it's going to be updated. I'm...

Thanks for the port! I am enjoying it. Any idea on mouse support, though? I find it incredibly difficult to talk to someone and try and pick responses with my thumb. I'm hoping adding trackball "mouse" support will be enough to address this (ie: I was hoping to avoid DS-style zoning). - Gus

Gus, Wonderful work! I do have an issue to report, though: If I return to the desktop via the "Home" or "Back" button, then try to return to ScummVM, the display is black (though the backlight is on). The ScummVM app continues to run, but is non-responsive. Sometimes (but not al...

Hi Gus, OK, that sounds great than, thanks for putting our worries at ease :-). And thanks for working on this. Patches are highly welcome, ideally via our patch tracker . Is it possible to use loadable modules under Android? Because then one could build the engines as dynamically loadable modules,...
