Re: Amiga style scrolling for Lucas adventures
I still would love to see Amiga style scrolling in ScummVM. Here is how it looks like on my real Amiga. Started the game on NTSC 60hz screenmode so that I can capture it at 60hz using my Note4 phone. It's great that now Youtube supports 50hz and 60hz (too bad my phone only records at 60hz and not 5...

Re: Amiga style scrolling for Lucas adventures
http://www.creatorscast.com/video/4e426569f9 Since youtube always makes the videos 30fps, I uploaded to a proper site allowing higher frame rates. Here is the 50fps video showing how scrolling looks like on an Amiga. As you can see, it's not smooth as in "silky smooth". But it's pretty clo...

You can not use ScummVM on current apple phones and tablets. Also if you want to use ScummVM on older models, you need to find one that is not updated to latest ios. The latest ios that can be jailbroken is 6.1.2 as far as I know. If you can find one with an older version, you won't be able to updat...

Using a Big Soundfont problem
I'm trying a big soundfont with fluidsynth option but when I try to load for example Fate Of Atlantis 4, nothing happens and ScummVM simply exits. I have other small soundfonts and they all work.
Is it because the soundfont is very large? (I have 8GB ram so I guess that's not the problem.. Or is it?

Re: Amiga style scrolling for Lucas adventures
Eventhough, the Amiga hardware was more versatile, this kind of hardware accelerated soft-scrolling can be done with VGA graphics too (scrolling top part, fixed bottom part). Oddly enough, they didn't. Most VGA side-scrolling games were pretty smooth. They didn't do it probably because these kind o...

Re: Amiga style scrolling for Lucas adventures
So how did the Amiga version work? Couldn't someone check the Amiga version to see how it worked? (I'm probably talking about things I have no idea about)

Amiga style scrolling for Lucas adventures
I'd love to see Amiga style scrolling for Lucas games. What I mean by this is that when the screen is scrolling, it doesn't jump 10 pixel by 10. It always scroll 1 pixel by 1 at a time It would definitely make a huge difference. What do you think? Would you like to have this? and will it ever be done?

Sierra, LucasArts and AGA Amigas
I was wondering during the last months these companies supported Amiga, did they plan to release AGA compatible 256 colour versions of their games? Yesterday I managed to run Amiga versions of Larry5, KingsQuest5 and SpaceQuest4 with MT32 sound by editing the resource.cfg file and changing the sound...

Not only. The video card also needs to know when to swap the front and back buffer. Otherwise, you would have the correct rate, but not correct synchronization (the top and bottom portions of the image may be made up of different frames when the flipping of frames is not synchronized with the refre...

The amiga smooth scrolling wasn't tied to 50hz Pal. It just used the amiga hardware (which truely excelled at scrolling thanks to the planar modes compared to the modern graphic cards that use chunky modes that are less scroll friendly) and the vsync for double buffering. Be it 50Hz or 60Hz, it doe...
