Hello, dear community and retro friends.
I have the following problem with the emulation of Goblins 3 in Scummvm.
I start the game, then the code query comes up, I answer it correctly and then the game asks me to insert the second disk.
No matter what I do... press the left mouse button, any key, the game insists on having the second disk.
How do I insert the second disk in Scummvm?
The game won't start without changing the disk!
I will attached 2 pictures on this thread.
1x message for the 2nd disk
1x folder content of goblins 3 on my HDD

We have a bug report on this issue (or a really similar one) here:Mr.Retrofan wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 6:06 pm I start the game, then the code query comes up, I answer it correctly and then the game asks me to insert the second disk.

How do I insert the second disk in Scummvm?
https://bugs.scummvm.org/ticket/15168
However, on that report it's stated that the game will continue to load if you press a key or a mouse button.
What version of ScummVM are you testing with? Have you tested with a daily developer build (2.9.0git)?

Re: Goblins 3 (Amiga / German)
Looking at your attached screenshots, you seem to be missing at least one file in the file listing you've provided. That file being "disk01.stk" (which as far as I can tell, does represent the "disc 2" for this version.
How did you copy the AMIGA disc files to your folder? Maybe other files are missing too.

As far as i have tested, In the latest dailybuild/master after an right click the Game proceeds.

To clarify the issue in this thread, the original poster is *missing* data files needed by the engine. Therefore they are stuck in the "insert disc 2" screen without being able to proceed, no matter what key they press or mouse button they click.
This is different than the issue reported in the linked bug ticket report.

Re: Goblins 3 (Amiga / German)
I just found the game like this and don't know what's missing or where I can get the complete version. I have the originals (Amiga/German versions), but I don't have the technology or the knowledge to get it from a floppy disk onto an HDD. Which files are missing, and what exactly are they called?

Re: Goblins 3 (Amiga / German)
how did you get the data on your hdd in the first place, then?
was it pre-installed?
as @preatorian wrote you're missing the data file (disk01.stk) from your first floppy...the game cannot progress
if you have a floppy drive you can (with a bit of extra software) extract the files and recopy them
