PS3 - Roland MT32 & screen resize

Post by gradius3 »

Just tried the PS3 build of v2.0.0 on my newly jailbroken console and everything works fine so far. Pure joy playing on big screen with mouse and keyboard!!!

But two things are bothering me...

1. I need to resize the screen for the games have the top and bottom cut off a bit. Is there somehow an option to configure this?
2. Is Roland MT32 support implemented in the PS3 version? I copied the 2 roms in the main folder as well as in some game folders for testing, but I don't have the possibility to choose MT32 in the pull down menues.

Thanks in advance for any help on these topics!

First I am aware that I am replying to a post from years ago, but I think my findings might be useful for all users of the PS3 port of ScummVM.
I usually use the daily build (latest branch master).

1. my settings in the global options for the graphics
- stretch mode: fit to window
- scaler: edge 2x

hook aspect ratio correction
hook full screen mode

my settings for the GUI
- GUI scale 125 % large
- GUI renderer antialised renderer

2. Roland MT32 is possible, but I cannot recommend to activate because the PS3 port is not accordingly optimised.
Not sure if it was here, but I once read that Roland emulation alone requires about the power of a 1 GHz CPU.
For DOS games I use AdLib emulator (MAME OPL) when using the PS3 port of ScummVM.
