Does ScummVM 0.8.1 Run Games at 333MHZ?
Moderator: ScummVM Team
This build is really good.
It runs perfectly and is
In fact for those who run scummvm on 2.0 psps, the fanjita loader allow the prog to run at 333mhz but for firmware 1.5 this 333mhz version is the holy graal (especially for games like Broken Sword or Day Of The Tentacle).
Thx a lot for this build.

I came here to find, well... to find this !joostp wrote:Since 0.8.2 has just been released, you can grab the unofficial build of ScummVM 0.8.2 that runs at 333mhz here
The only difference with the official 0.8.2 release is that it runs at 333mhz (and the version string is altered to reflect this).
Obviously I recommend its use only for COMI at the moment as it's otherwise untested and will, ofcourse, drain your battery faster. (although someone might want to check how much difference this makes for the Broken Sword cutscenes - I guess it's not that much)
Great job, I've registered on the board only to thank you. So thank you joostp.
CoMI runs quite well with this build, thx a lot!!
Previously, I tested CoMI, but then removed it from my memory stick, because it ran too slow, now it's very playable!!
I have a minor issue with this build and broken sword 1, though (I use it cause cutscenes run smoother): when saving, the image (game scene) gets screwed up a bit; a part of the pixels becomes white, loading the save or going to another screen resolves this, so nothing serious!
I think it's amazing that I can have both CoMI, BS1 (full speech and audio) and some smaller games on my 1GB stick at the same time!!
It's also nice that scummvm's config is in another folder, that way I can have both the 333Mhz build and the regular one using the same settings! (I changed the 333Mhz's eboot background image to be able to distinguish them)
Keep up the good work!

I've heard the eboot loader has its own mechanism for setting the clockspeed, so just use that in combination with the normal 0.8.2 build.Viruw wrote:Hey all,
I'm having trouble using the 333mhz build with eBoot 2.6
Anyone have the same problem?
I've tried both the Single and 1.5 booters... but no luck
Any advice Joost?
