Feeble Files MorphOS Problems

Post by Bladerunner »

Ok, I am not sure if this is the right board to ask for help,
If this is totaly wrong please move it to another board ;)

I use the MorphOS Port of Scumm VM 0.9.0
Everything is working so far, except Feeble Files.
I can start a new game, then after the Intro the debug console
apears telling "Error Invalid opcode '0' encountered"

(I am using the german 4 Disc Version "Floyd", the 2 Disc Amiga Version
is reported to behave the same way)

The big Problem is, the Guy who ported it told me that he unfortunatelly
don't have Feeble Files thus can't test it, and even worse it might be something
with the engine internals.

So I wonder if someone is able to help here? Perhaps there is a similar case on
other plattforms which triggers this error?

Please, start Scummvm like this:

ScummVM -d 9

and log the output, so it may give some more info on what is going wrong.

Playing FF on the AmigaOS4 build here and it's working nicely, shouldn't
be that many differences, should it?

Well I allready set the debuglevel higher to see if it will give some hints,
but unfortunatlly it wont. It starts fine, plays the intromovies when a new game
is started and then simply crashes.

Well obviously there are ;) As far as I can see FF is the only game not working,
Also Legend of Kyrandia plays nicely which according to a thread on AWN does not for OS4.

You see, at least different aproaches for very similar plattforms, there a probably other
significant differences on dev tools and such. However I had bit hope that someone may
have an Idea through what this "opcode thingy" is caused.

But thank you for your reply :)

A bug report was added for this issue, but lacks details. We could really use more information for that bug report.
