Is there a version with German voices? I thought the English version (which has subtitles in several different languages) was the only one, but I could very well be mistaken.

There is only a german Floppy version, without voices.
A Talkie version exists only in English with Multilingual subtitles.
So you miss nothing, wether the german version is freeware or not.
You can change the subtitles of the CD version simply by choosing another language in the "Edit game" dialog.
