0.9.1svn test build

Post by joostp »

Hi there,

As there have been some problems with the 0.9.0 release including a quite severe bug that caused crashes in several SCUMM games, I want to start 0.9.1 testing immediately so we can make sure the 0.9.1 release is (relatively) problem free.

This version is built from the latest source (30-07-'06) of the 0-9-0 branch so should be just as stable as the 0.9.0 release (and moreso in certain areas!), so I actually recommend using this over the official 0.9.0 release until 0.9.1 is released.

Changes since 0.9.0 include:

- Fixed crashes in certain SCUMM games (Indy4, DOTT, MI2, etc.)
- SCUMM savegames now contain a thumbnail
- "Classic" GUI should work now.
- Changed linker line a bit so that it only links usermode libraries (Maybe this makes it run on eLoader, but I have no means to test it).

Download ScummVM 0.9.1svn test build (July 30 2006) Note: This is an updated build, including a 333mhz version.
The previous July 08 build is still available here

If you find any bugs/crashes/whatever please also state what firmware your PSP is and if you're using eLoader.

Thanks!

Btw. this build doesn't included libmpeg2 (Broken Sword cutscene support).

I have 1.5 psp and version 9.1 allows broken sword to work minus the video as you mentioned. I wonder did the video work with version 9.0 as the game would never load and it would just turn black and turn the psp off. I

It should work, in theory, but was untested AFAIK.
The cutscenes don't perform well on the PSP anyway. The next ScummVM version (0.10.0) will support an additional format, which should work on the PSP without problems.

Hello!

Is this build a 333mhz or 222mhz build. If it's 222mhz, is there a way i can run it on 333mhz?
I have some slowdown problems on COMI and on Monkey 1 the mp3 sound stutters, so I'd like to see if that's fixed when it's ran on 333mhz.

Thanks in advance :)

This build is 222mhz, a 333mhz one will be up when I get around to it.
The MI1 mp3 problem is a known defect, use Ogg Vorbis instead.
