Thanks,

So I download the Tools into my ScummVM directory, then download the daily snapshot into the Tools directory. Where do I get the appropriate lame/ogg/flac encoder .exe files anyway?

Sorry for the questions I've never done anything like this before.

I don't know exactly - the Linux distribution I use have ready-to-install packages, so that's what I use - but you may want to look at the LAME, Ogg Vorbis and FLAC Web pages.

Xiph no longer appears to provide binaries of their reference encoders, but you can get an improved version of OggEnc and a FLAC binary from http://rarewares.org/. You'll need to rename "oggenc2.exe" to "oggenc.exe", obviously. Similarly binaries of the LAME MP3 encoder are not provided directly, but you can find one at http://www.free-codecs.com/.

So how exactly does this DVD work? Can you just stick it in and then choose the game you want and it plays? Did you make the Main Menu and Game list template from scratch?

Great work by the way?

uhm...one question:
so i just write instead of:

Code: Select all

[indy3]
description=Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (German/DOS)
gameid=indy3
language=de
path=C:\oldstuff\indy3\Indy3\
platform=pc
this (if Indy3 is in the folder 'Indy3' on the disc):

Code: Select all

[indy3]
description=Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (German/DOS)
gameid=indy3
language=de
path=\Indy3\
platform=pc
then i change the savepath into e.g. c:\scummvm\savegames\
and copy the scummvm-files and this ini onto a cd/dvd and make an autorunfile like this:

Code: Select all

[autorun]
open=scummvm.exe
icon=scummvm.exe
and that's all?
