Bass and Fotaq doesn't load

In a cd i've putted the Freeware version of beneath of steel sky.
3 files sky.cpt....
ScummVM recognize it, but when load, after seeing the "Virgin games" screen, the game crashes and it returns to the dreamcast bios

Also it happens with fotaq

Maybe is my error...

This is standard (and probably wrong) Dreamcast answer but what recording speed did you use? Most DC's have a tough time trying to load 52x-40x-32x recorded CD's specially PCB rev2. Also make sure you are using a CD brand which have been tested before with your console.

I burn games at 8x.
Cd burned with a brand new dvd-ram recorder won't recognized.
But cd burned with an old 16x burner works fine

The bad is that.
Scummvm loads and bass and fotaq are recognized. But after selection, a splash screen appars and the game exits to the DC BIOS....
this is the only game with that behaviour
