Broken Sword 1 and 2 problems

I know this will probaly be real simple to fix, but here goes anyway:
I can't get any of the broken sword games to run. I try to load them and it says insert disc 1. On Broken Sword 2 I get to where George is about to head for Marseilles and it comes up with the same message. I installed the game from a sold out disc Ive had for ages now. Was I suppsed to do somthin else to the game? I tried looking for a crack but had no luck.
Please help!
