can someone upload a .dat file in which the m3 setting has already been saved?
You can try this. You will need to rename the scummvm-a.nds to scummvma5.nds for this work that or use the GM to write the save.

Actually I tested beta 5 again, it oddly enough its working perfectly now, after booting it with beta 4 first. It seems I needed some of the setting that in auto generated in scummvm.ini when you start a game maybe for it to work? It also seems to detect my save from beta 4 somehow from a different .dat file.
I wonder if this will be the case with my Kingston 1gb mini-sd as well. Hope so, then I at least know what the problem was ;)

I want to test the Transcend card I borrowed from a colleague! heh

Any SC SD card users care to try it and let me know if it works?

Test 2 (SanDisk 1024)
1st try:

Found flash card reader!
Creating conf file: scummvm.ini

Wow it works :)

Great work AgentQ!!! :)

Down with Kingston ;)

My Hardware: M3 SD(f29)(Old), no lite mini or other! NDS(Old) with flashme. Kingston 512mb, SanDisk 1024mb

Greetz,
Husky
Not shure if Kingston is the issue here... I have three and two work, and one not, so I extrapolate that this should happen with other brands too.

My guess is that there must be some kind of bug in the M3 driver used in Scumm, since the non working card runs DSLINUX and DSORGANIZE, amongst lots of others, just fine and has no problems at all (yes i´ve reformated it already).

Now i have a new Problem, first it run perfect with left shoulder button, but now it wont work anymore, every time it says M3 SD OFF

greetz,
Husky

P.S. I don´t like the shoulder button method, because my DS don´t recognize the button anymore, but why?

i think it´s better with a question, load m3 driver? Yes / No

Hi,

with m3 lite i can't get the function for the L-Button to work. It always says "off". It isn't an issue of the L-Button not working because starting with L+R pressed the SRAM can be deleted.

Any hints why the detection mode won't kick in?

This release works with the Transcend 1gb mini-sd card!
With the L-button that is.
And save games work straight away with Monkey Island 2 :D

Unfortunately it doesn't work with my Kingston 1gb mini-sd card! :(
So I guess I'll have to give up on that one boohoo...

To others who have problems booting with L, are you pressing it on time? I had a few occasions I apparently wasn't fast enough. I press L even before the red loading bar appears, so basically right after booting SCUMMVM.

EDIT:
Formatted the Kingston to FAT16 and it seems to work now *keeps fingers crossed*

To those who are having trouble holding the L button:

Just hold it down as soon as you choose scummvm from your launcher, and KEEP HOLDING IT until it detects your M3.

Super card lite with a sandisc ultra II micro SD 1 GB

With the beta 2 Monley Island CD works

With the beta 3 and 4, monkey island CD hangs just when guybrush appears and and if I load a save game.

With the beta 5 "No flash card found" :(

Thanks for your releases

doesn't work here either...
so i don't think its about timing or did you write another listener for the buttons like the L+R SRAM delete method?

Hey agentq,

I've got the following cards if you need some more testing:

M3lite (just got it, kernel V29)
SuperCard SD (v163, not the newest one but with lattice chip)
Ewin2 Lite
EZflash IV deluxe
G6lite
GBAMP
Neo2-TF
GBA flash card (EFA linker 1)
DSlink
(possibly soon DS-X)

Hope I can help my favorite app ;).

Your explanation: When pressing the L-key ScummVM stores in the SRAM that a M3 is used. With the next start ScummVM recognizes in the SRAM that the M3 is used.

That would mean that you can recognize, if a SRAM is present. How would it thus be, if you indicate a menu in the case when starting, if still no appropriate data lie in the SRAM?
