ScummVM on N93

Post by Sordid »

I've downloaded the latest ScummVM SVN. It works but I can't strretch the image. Neither 0+2 nor 0+4 do anything!

And Scumm doesn't seem to notice landscape mode...

Well.. Somebody has to be the first to test it on a N93. :-) At least it does n't crash. Please press 0+2 more than once and test each mode with 0+4.

The 0.9 version is newer than the SVN version. Try that.

I can't install 0.9 (scummvm-0.9.0-s60-v3-scumm.sis). Message "not supportet". SVN install works.

Yeah, I deactivated certificate,etc.

I can install ScummVM 9.0 to my n93, but problem are the same...

Image is roughly half of actual screen size, which is 320x240 QVGA, maybe that is the problem there, as earlier s60 3rd edition models has something diffirent ressolution.

So, skilled coders back to the desk to make it compatible?

I can get Scumm to run fine on my N93 - i wish you didnt have to keep simultaneously pressing buttons to change screen size - i could not get this to work on the recent scumm-all.sis (1.7mb), i had to use the scumm.sis (1.1mb)....

But there is one horrible fault with my N93, after you exit out of Scumm my phone screws up not displaying my memu screen (though you can still navigate) and the only way to fix it is to switch the phone off and turn it back on - its very annoying!!!

if I remember correctly this only happens in landscape mode, doesn't it? If so...restart the program in normal mode and quit it...then everything's fine again...

Last test build was built with the wrong compilation flags. I will try a new built when I have some time over.

Hey guys, The N93 only supports a one button press at a time (except for the pen button). This is why 0 + 2 etc. doesn't work.

I guess the only other way to do this would be through single buttons.... would it be possible??

Well I think it should work withmultiple presses.. all other S60 phones Do. But I think I could use the pen button a bit better also. But all those improvements take time.. So I have to do one thing at a time and see what I have time for. Right now we are like 1,75 ppl working on ScummVM for Symbian phones.

I have a N93 and all bottons 0+2 0+3 0+4 they all work perfectly. I can play full screen and in any position the screen i put it.
i can play perfectly all mokey islands, Indiana jones day of the tentacle and the rest.(well unless The curse of monkey island.) It asks for a Mad libray file.

birraman, what firmware are you running on your phone press *#0000# because currently all nokia N93's unlike previous S60 Nokias have multiple button disabled except for the pen button. This is a global issue. It's weird that yours works. To my understanding the latest firmware is V11.0.034 17-8-06.

On my screen it's always rotated either the wrong side in normal view or upside down in landscape and nothing can change it... it's also just over a quarter of the screen... good enough i guess :)

I just uploaded two videos on how it works perfectly te combination between numbers. It is true that sometimes it doesnt work on the first try. you got to try tapping the numbers fast 02 02 02 02 02.. and then it starts working. other times it works nicely. My FW is V11.0.034 17-08-06

and

just in any case i have this version of Scummvm : http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/scum ... s?download

its the latest one on the web..

Pauluspink that error happens when you dont exit the scumm in normal viem. you have to restart the application and again exit and it works just fine. that also happens to me when i play in landscape mode and exit.
try it.
