Hi, I'm fairly young, although I grew up playing some of the games mentioned I don't really have any of them anymore, I do have The Curse of Monky Island but thats it.
So I was wondering, does anyone know where I can get the games
that work with the system? Im OBVIOUSLY up for paying
especialy for the good ones, but I am in the UK so if it is
a US site I may not be able to get them there either.
Also what does freeware mean? Are they free now or downloadable?
Please, any help would be great I am specificaly after
the other Monkey Island games and LucasArts games.
Also I hope to get the Discworld games.
(I do have Discworld Noir but am uncertain as to wether this would work with ScummVM - i know that there was talk of Discworld 1 or 2 being worked on)
Thank you in advance.
Merry Christmas.

eBay might be your best bet for Lucasarts games, or probably secondhand shops (I got broken sword for about 50 cent here in Vienna from such a shop)Malashi wrote:Im OBVIOUSLY up for paying

yes, here the authors gave permission to freely distribute the games online (=downloadable); for ScummVM-related games these are:Malashi wrote: Also what does freeware mean? Are they free now or downloadable?
- Beneath a Steel Sky
- Flight of the Amazon Queen
- Lure of the Temptress (unsupported, but runs in DOSBox)
for other games, http://liberatedgames.com/ might be worth looking
hope that helps,

I saw a news item recently about the "Lucas Classic Line" being re-released. Searching UK Amazon for that will turn up The Dig, Sam & Max / Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle and The Curse of Monkey Island.Malashi wrote: So I was wondering, does anyone know where I can get the games

(It also turns up Grim Fandango and Escape from Monkey Island, but they are not supported by ScummVM.)
AdventureSoft were still selling the Simon games, The Feeble Files and the Elvira games (partly supported by the development version of ScummVM) last time I checked.
Sold-Out Software still seem to be selling Broken Sword 1 and 2.
The other games may be more difficult to find, so you may want to try eBay for those.
Several games can still be bought online, try http://members.optusnet.com.au/scummvm/shops.html
The original CD releases of Broken Sword 1 and 2 are better choice, compared to recent DVD bundle. Since the DVD bundle includes lower quality MPEG2 cutscenes (released for ScummVM in past) and due to all the data files been stored in an InstallShield cab file.
