Full Throttle: Does the game end early or not fully emulated

I wanted to play "Full Throttle" so I started the game but the game seems like it is over in about 10 minutes of play. Here is what happens:

1) The game starts with the main character in a dumpster.
2) He gets out of the dumpster and gets his keys in the bar
3) He gets on his motorcycle and fights a guy on the road
4) He then goes into a secret cave to get a ramp
5) He uses the ramp to remove part of the road to make some other motorcycle people fly off the road and crash.
6) He then tries to jump over a canyon but misses
7) The game then starts over from the beginning.

This is either the shortest game is history, I am doing something wrong or ScummVM emulator is having trouble emulating the full game. Does anyone know whether this is normal gameplay? What is going on here? I like the game and really want to play it and I am wondering whether I will be able to.

What you describe is an ordinary Full Throttle DOS demo.
