Broken Sword 1 Disc 1

Post by iPwnzorz »

Is it a violation of 0 to ask for the files on sword1 Disc 1? I've searched high and low for it and I can only find disc 2. It's Sold Out edition.

(Feel free to close if it violates 0/is illegal)

Ah well, that's a shame... Better keep searching or find another copy somewhere... :(

Broken Sword 1 & 2 Double Pack

Post by spookypeanut »

What country are you in, iPwnzorz? I don't know about elsewhere, but in the UK, you can get Broken Sword 1 & 2 on a single DVD for £4.99, including delivery... e.g. from play.com
http://tinyurl.com/y4faf7

This version, by the way (and for future reference), requires windows installation to grab the necessary file. It uses scummvm (0.6.0, iirc) as its interpreter, and the video is in mp2 format: the original smacker files are not included.

Yes I'm in the UK, unfortunately a double pack just sold before I could get it! I'm not gonna resort to downloading it... So it's just a matter of searching for another copy, or my fist disc somewhere...

From what I've read here... the Sold Out 'double pack' is packaged with a version of ScummVM and re-encoded video files. Improvements in ScummVM now mean those video files aren't as good quality as they could be and so perhaps you should consider picking up the original releases (for example).

Best of luck!

Looks like Sold-Out Software are still selling the games individually, as well as the double pack, so you probably don't have to resort to eBay for that.

Actually Broken Sword 1 is listed as 'out of stock' and Broken Sword 2 isn't even listed in their online shop.

Ah, I didn't realize that. I only looked at the list of games, where it didn't say anything about stock.
