I've never used ScummVM, so please bear with me.
I have ScummVM and FOTAQ (the large unmodified CD version) each in a separate directory. I've tried to unzip FOTAQ and WinZip doesn't recognize the .bz2 file type. So, I tried to add FOTAQ to Scumm and it can't find any games in the FOTAQ directory. Obviously I'm doing something wrong.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. In case you need it, I've got XP/SP2 on a Compaq laptop.

You need to uncompress the bz2 file first. Apparently, the new version (11) of winzip lets you do this. Otherwise, you could find another windows program to extract bz2 archives.
Alternatively, download the mp3 compressed version from the download page:
http://www.scummvm.org/downloads.php
Which comes as a zip file.

most scummvm builds come with mp3 supportarbuthnot wrote:Not sure I want an MP3 file as don't think I have MP3 (whatever it is) loaded.
the difference between the original game and the mp3 compressed version is that the original game used uncompressed sound files (which made the game files much larger), and the mp3 compressed version of th game is thus much smaller
